Discounts in December

Does anyone feel that discounts will be offered for November and early December? We are going to Disney World 12/13/03 to 12/20/03, and I was hoping for discounted rooms during this timeframe. Last year I think they offered discounted rooms through December 19th (even on top of the value season) if my memory serves me right. My concern is since the Fairyland Vacation Package is being offered through the end of October, that they will not offer any discounts for the remainder of the year. I would love to see Walt Disney World extend the package through December 19, but afraid this is wishful thinking.

Any opinions?

Hi - We got a great discount last year during the first full week in December. I think that Disney will probably have somthing during the Nov & Dec value season. In fact, I think last year discounts went right up to check ins on 12/25. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong about this.

We too are hoping for discounts. We have the reservations already made for the first week of December. The anxiety of the wait just eats me up hoping and waiting to see some type of announcement. But I know that info probably will not be released until late summer or early fall.

HI Tina! My son and his family got a great room only discount last year for Thanksgiving week. It came out in late August. I expect Disney to do the same this year. The economy is still not the greatest, so I think less families will be traveling down there that time of year.

I'm planning a trip in November too and am hoping for an extension of the FTP or some other type of discounts. Historically (from the Mousesavers.com site) it looks like there were discounts up to Christmas Day in November and December, so I'm really thinking there is going to be something. With the FTP booking deadline of 6/29, I'm guessing that something will be released around the Fourth of July or so...
