Are there and discounts/coupons for SWA out there. I just check the prices for a spring trip to DW and the ticket prices seem a little high.

Any advice? Should I wait and see if the prices drop? What should I do?

Thanks!!!
:thanks:

That's so hard to answer as no one really knows what the prices are going to do. We're in a similar situation though... We want to fly SW at the end of Jan. The fares right now are $174/each way. However, SW has sales. Right now their sales are only good through Dec 2010, but just to get an idea I priced out one of those flights and the prices drop down to $109-$149. So we're holding out until/if they release their sale prices for January.

I also used this Bing predictor: http://www.bing.com/travel/flights I don't know how accurate it is (For my flights it says it's 79% confident we should wait) but I don't know how they come up with that percentage. But just throw in your dates and see what it says!

Unless they've changed their policy recently, I thought that SW will allow you to change your tickets to the cheaper fare with no penalty (and give you a credit for the excess).... We did that a few years ago during one trip and saved ourselves close to $100! (And had a good start on our next trip's airplane costs!!)

but if you don't fly often, having credit doesn't help much. And starting jan 7, it will no longer be transferable.
