So it looks like my BFF and I will be sleeping over in Anaheim and doing California Adventure the day after Disneyland to save gas instead of coming back another day. We would be checking in Friday, May 9th and checking out May 10th.

So I stayed at HoJo for the DIS Girls' Only Trip last weekend and it was great! But I'm checking rates and the rate is now $125.10! And that's with my AAA discount! I really liked that it was walking distance from the parks but now that its so expensive, I might have to check out the HoJo express Inn on Katella Ave.

Any thoughts?

OKAY. I read the reviews for the HoJo on Katella and we will NOT be staying there.

All I have to say is ROACHES.

That just gives me the shivers and the creepy crawlies.

GROSS.

Any other ideas.

Do you have an AP? The one you just stayed at offers a 20% discount for AP holders.

Doesn't look like they have the great Entertainment Book rate on that day, bummer.

I've heard that the Motel 6 isn't at all bad.

Hi Cristabel! :)

You might consider the Anaheim Plaza or the Del Sol as alternative discount accommodations.

I think both can run aroune $70 a night and are within walking distance. Not as nice as the HoJo, but an ok place to just sleep and shower.

I do have an AP. Really? A 20% discount? That's cool. I'm going to call and check.

Thanks Callie!
I needed some reputable reviews for a hotel/motel, that's why I love the DIS.:goodvibes

Even with an AP I was getting $125 on a Sat night, so I'm booked into Anaheim Plaza for $69 on May 10.....I've read that it's clean and ok, tho I'll miss a pillowtop!!!!

You can get a 50% off entertainment book rate (you just have to pick up a book for about $15 and bring the card with you) if you put in code sd50. It does not work for all dates, but does for some.
Here is a list of dates...I got a disney view room for $74 a night! Pretty sweet deal! Also the new pirate ship slide will be open then too!

I just found the dates when it is applicable, sadly May 9th isn't one of them. Which I would figure since it's a Friday.

I'm thinking I'll book there too, unless I see that Del Sol is cheaper.
