Discounts for Annual Season Pass

Hi everyone! I'm booked for 8 days at Cabana Bay in September. I was looking through my paperwork and it looks like I have the 3 park unlimited ticket, which I believe is $434.51. I'm not planning on doing more than 1 trip a year, but I was looking at options for the annual pass around the same price. There is a 3 park 15 month Seasonal Pass which gives some minor benefits (like 10% some dining at Cabana Bay). The website says:
  • Special discounts on separately ticketed events such as Halloween Horror Nights and EVE at Universal CityWalk
Does anyone know what those discounts for HHN would be? Trying to decide if its worth switching over the Seasonal Pass as it seems to be about the same price.

Thanks!

We did that...I changed tickets to AP once we got to the parks Really had no intention of going again... 3rd trip is now booked for May LOL. the AP was like $11.00 more than the park tickets. We did upgrade one of our AP's to the preferred pass and it more than paid for itself with the food and merch discounts. Also with the annual pass you can get hotel discounts...maybe change to a deluxe with express passes....might be worthwhile to see what the discounts are (you don't have to have the pass before you book the ap rates just show the pass before checkout) Here is a great post about how all of this works https://www.disboards.com/threads/how-i-plan-a-universal-trip.3794121/

We have premier pass which I think is around $500. Totally worth it as it comes with free parking and express pass after 4 PM.

We did that too. Well, close. The plan had been Feb 2020 and then a few days during a Disney Jan 2021 trip (that didn't happen).

But, we did a spontaneous trip in August and we have another trip late April. Our pass doesn't expire until late August. So, we have a chance for a 4th one hopefully after most of the kids are in school.

The thing with Universal is that the passes are so cheap that you don't need multiple trips to make it worthwhile. We broke even in 4-days. Then when it occurred to me that the tickets for a trip 11 months away would be free ... I became a Universal fan. And now with a 15 month pass, people can go again precisely a year later.

With 2 school aged kids, we are limited to school holidays for our trips to Orlando. My wife won't consider a summer trip because of the heat. We bought our second set of APs for Thanksgiving 2019, but were not able to get the extra 3 month deal so they would run out before the next Thanksgiving. Our plan was a second trip in March 2020, when Covid hit. While we had to cancel, the parks were closed for 3 months, which extended the APs to allow for Thanksgiving and President's Day weekend. Even though the deluxe hotels were more expensive, not having to pay for tickets made the last two trips much cheaper.
