Discounts at the S/D

Just popping in to wish all on this thread a great day and to share information that was passed along to me yesterday by an employee at the Swan. I tried to make a ressie for the beginning of Jan. with a teacher or AP rate and was told that they WILL be available but that the reservation system is having problems taking discount codes this week. (I read that some people have already secured discounts for these dates, so I just had to go for it!) The reservation agent said to try again next Tues. or Wed. and that they should be available...

Hope this helps anyone having trouble recently!

Hi Tink - I tried to call a few days ago and I was told that discounts were not out yet for that time period. What # did you call. I called the 407 # and was transferred to reservations that were outside of the Swan. I will try to call again Fri or Sat to see if I can book a room. Thanks for the info. Sherry

Hi Sherry-

I called the 800# listed in the Entertainment book: 1-800-227-1500. It's a direct line. I have seen several posts from people who have nabbed AP discounts for the first week of 2005 at the S/D. The reservation agent sounded like she really knew her stuff. (She did say that some have already been booked, and that computer problems were huge this week down there.)

It seems as though some reservation agents are way more knowledgable than others and it really can come down to luck of the draw. If you get one who isn't very helpful, try again!

Hi Tink - I just got off the phone with S & D reservations and was told that AP rates for 01/05 wont be released until June or July. Gosh, I sure would like to book. I would appreciate it if anyone who booked Swan or Dolphin for 01/05 with a discount would let me know what number they called and what they asked for. We are also gov employees and I asked for both types o discounts and was told not yet. Thanks all for any help you can give. thanks
