during the holiday season. Does anyone know if anything is offered besides a AAA discount? Is everyone paying rack rate to stay on site this year for christmas holiday? Please offer an advise or plan suggestions to me. We'd love to go but needed to rooms and paying rack rate just is not in our budget. Please someone tell there are some rates I don't know about.

I was not able to find any discounts available during the time we will be there (12/30-/1/2). I researched it again this weekend. I found that rates are highest of all during Christmas. They use "Holiday Rates" which are higher than "Value" and "Regular" rates. Rates go down the day we are leaving!!!

Hopefully, somebody will have better news than I do!!

Just checked Expedia for 12/20-12/27

12/20 $129.00
12/21 $129.00
12/22 129.00
12/23 129.00
12/24 199.00
12/25 199.00
12/27 199.00

averaged out to 159.00 a night.
This was for RPR

they had many discounted rates for off site as well.

Could get entertainment rate of $99.00 up till the 24th.
Maybe fan club offers something?

Just checked hotelkingdom.com and they had cheaper rates than expedia. 128.00 till the 24th of December and 168.00 for christmas day and the day after. also for RPR

I was only interested in the HRH and the only place I could even find availability on the dates I wanted was by calling Loew's. HRH and PBH aren't available for those dates on expedia or anywhere else I looked. Of course, someone may know of other places to look. When were you thinking of going?

Nan:D

Hi Nan,

Got a 218.00 rate for your dates at hotelkingdom at Hard Rock,
probably do better with Loews direct? What about a fan club discount?

Thanks, Fan,

What type of room is the $218? That is a little better than the rate I got for a Garden view from Loews - $249. They told me no other rates were available for those dates - I assumed they meant Fan Club, but maybe not. I should try that. I also have a Kid's Suite for those dates - no deal on that!! But maybe the Fan Club is even a option for that....

THANKS!!

Nan

I couldn't find a good deal for the week after Christmas so I'm starying. I'm going to Disney staying at the swam for $129.00. I can't wait to stand in those long lines w/o a magic key!

Nan, definately call back and and ask for a Fan Club rate. I have always had to ask directly as they never just offered me the different discounted rates. The room I found on hotelkingdom is for a gardenview it was 217.90 the first 2 nights and 229.20 for the last night.

There is a number to call listed on the Fan Club site for hotel reservations 1-888-777-2131

Good Luck!

Okay get this now, I talked to Jason at the loews 800 # after haggleing with him he finally tells me okay I can give you a bayview for 199.00 or a del pool view for 219~! Now how you like that. He said he could offer that to anyone, there is not a special code or anything but you just had to ask! Now how in the world would you know to do that! He started out with 299 bayview, 359 del pool view. Man ol man i hope they have some codes soon. He's trying to tell me that the codes must already be all gone and I questioned him where they even released yet? Well, hmmm he did'nt know that one way or the other. I think we are gonna travel to a resort up north if I can find one we can't buy two rooms at that kindda money. Oh he did tell me we were upgraded to gold member status with loews and my next question was can I have my card yet? It's been since May 02 since I got my number. I hope everyone wanted to go for the holidays has a lovely time unless some codes drop outtaa the sky we will be, well I ain't sure yet any suggestions on a good family resort non-orlando? We were thinking snow the mountains a resort were we don't have to go far once we arrive. 600 mile radius is kindda our limit, with three 2 years and 10 yo that's plenty of driving. We could go to LA, Ky, VA, TN, so does anyone know of anything wonderful in any of these places for the holidays?

I got 2 deluxe pool veiw rooms at Portofino for 219 each, the dates are 12/27-1/2. Originally I went with RP because the rate was 199 per night so it was the cheapest rate at that point, but then I was able to get the rate at 219 for PBH. I am very pleased with that rate considering the time of year.

I didn't think the Portofino had deluxe rooms. I booked HRH deluxe for the bedding arrangement, but would have preferred Portofino. Can you tell me if these rooms are similar to the ones at HRH?

Yes, they have beautiful deluxe rooms, that include shower and tub arrangements with full vanities and two shutter doors that can open up to over look the room and view if you have one! They include more bathroom amenties and are the largest rooms under the suites. If you book Del. your next upgrade would be a Portifino suites if available. Some of these del. rooms have balconies and all balcony rooms are smoking rooms. You can get two queen or one king and you have plenty of space in either for a rollaway bed. The king rooms come with a pull out sleeper loveseat and there is plenty of room for a roll away in those as well. The beds are tall and extremly comfy. They have devuts on them and tons of feather downs pillows on them. You would PBH.
