discounts and dolewhips

Hello,
I am considering a vacation in mid may and I'm wondering if the Disneyland hotels ever offer discounts? Are the Disneyland hotels within walking distance to the parks? Also, my husband wants to know if they sell dolewhips at either park. Thanks
