Discounted Military rates?

I have never paid much attention to the threads about Shades of Green or other military discounts since they do not apply to me, but I am trying to help a Disney "virgin" friend and have a couple of questions:

1. Do these discounts apply to members of the National Guard?

2. What are the rates?

Yes, rates at Shades of Green apply to The National Guard.
The rates depend on the person's rank. You can find the list of rates at this site.

Yes, and they also qualify for the "overflow" rates to the Disney resorts. You can get these through SOG and they are usually discounted rates about equal to a code rate or better, but offered all the time(I have never encountered blackouts with these).
