Discounted Airfare from NY

Any advice you can give me regarding where to search for discounted airfare?

We usually drive but will be flying in October instead.I know it will be busy with school breaks so I wanted to see if there are any deals out there and If I should book now or wait a while longer. There will be 6 of us, 4 adults, 2 children 5 and 8.

You can usually fly out of JFK for less than $150 per person round trip. Look at the Delta song and the Jet Blue website. If you are willing to fly at odd times you can get it for even less. We booked for November already on Delta Song for 135 per person round trip.

We reserved through LaGuardia for $145. We took it as the price went up once before we booked those!!! It is a non-stop flight from LaGuardia and only a couple of hours long...great when traveling with kids. We went through our travel agent who we have worked with for years.

We booked out of Laguardia for 155. They had 135 for super early in the morning. Air tran has early, cheap flights but they aren't non stop. I was going crazy trying to save money, but finally gave up because flights were filling up and prices were going up.

Jetblue has my vote. Prices are way reasonable and they have live TV in every seat.

Keep checking prices every day on the airlines. They change their prices daily. We flew from Cleveland Ohio for 135. I used alot of tips from mousesavers.com
