Discount Tickets on Room Key?

I'm taking friends to WDW in August, and they need to save as much $$ as possible. If they get tickets through that "Mapley ticket place", can guest services transfer those tickets to their room key? Or, do you have a different idea?

Yes, they can link a standalone ticket to their room key. You may need to ask a few times, or ask for a supervisor as not all front line CM's seem to know how to do it, but it is doable.

You don't need to do it, there is no harm in having your ticket separate from your room key, and may be easier to keep track of if they buy non-expiring tickets. But some people prefer to have them linked. It is up to you and your friends.

I had the same question. I'm all for saving money on tickets if possible(although the savings will probably be spent elsewhere!)

I have the exact opposite question. Can you have you have your tickets made separate from your room key if you are purchasing a package? We will probably not use our 1 day passes from our FD this trip, and I am so used to not having them on the room key I am afraid I will lose or throw away my room key out of habit when we come home.

Yes, you can. Simply go to the concierge desk and ask them to scan it onto your key. We did this at check in last year when we got our tickets from Maple Leaf. The concierge that did it, did say that sometimes the tickets don't register but she was glad to try.
