What is the discount for DVC members annual passes? Is their a discount for regular tickets? What in your opinionis better? What is this new "no expiration" ticket price? Thjis is the first time we will be using this new ticket system. It seems a little confusing. Can someone help us find the best option? We are staying at the BWV for 4 days this August and will probably go again next August. Where is the best place to buy the tickets too?

Thank you for your help!! :) :earsgirl: :earsboy: princess: :groom: :moped:

I don't know the AP price off-hand. It seems from what I read that 10-days is about the break-even oint for AP/MYW (Magic Your Way) tickets.

MYW has several options. Number of days, plus options (TL, PI, DQ?, BB), park-hopping, and no expiration. No expiration means that whatever days you do not use, you can use any time in the future. WIth expiration, your MYW will expire x days from when you first used the ticket, x being the number of days you paid for.

I would go to the WDW website and run the numbers for MYW and AP w/DVC discount. See what it gets you.

DVC Member AP -Adult$ 314.18 Child(3 to 9) $267.32 I don't know the PAP prices.

I was just looking at this and the closest comparison between MYW and DVC/AP is the 7 day, park hopper, no expiration. The 7 day is slightly less than the DVC discounted AP. The same 10 day ticket is quite a bit more than the discounted AP, but would be a great deal if you were going to save it for use in more than one calendar year.

If you want to go to the parks 8 days over the course of the year, and can schedule next years' trip before an AP expires, the AP would be the least expensive option. If you'll only go to the parks 7 day or less, or won't be back until your AP's would expire, you're probably best with the 7 day magic your way.

There is most likely a ticket price comparison chart somewhere here on the DIS, though I generally use the one at Allearsnet.com. As far as the best place to get MYW passes....we got park hopper passes last year from Discount Orlando Vacation, who I believe is an advertiser here on the DIS. We saved a few bucks a ticket by doing that rather than buying our tickets from Disney. The savings isn't huge, but its something. I do recommend this ticket seller.

Good luck!

Go to mousesavers.com and sign up for the newsletter. It comes on the 15th of each month and usually has a ticket special discount price from Ticketmania.com (a reputable seller). The prices are usually a good bit cheaper than from Disney. And the lower prices INCLUDE taxes and shipping, which Disney's doesn't. What you see is what you pay. Period.

We'll be going in Oct. I recently got one AP ($317 w/discount & shipping) so that we can order the Disney Dining Experience card for 20% off sit-down meals. It's $50 for AP holders. (Our son eats a LOT.) I'll then order six-day hopper MYW tickets from Ticketmania for the rest of us. We checked all the options and concluded this was the best way for us to go for this trip.

Your needs may vary. If you seriously plan to go back within a year, you may be better off with AP's. Plus, there are a variety of other discounts with the AP.

You might want to move next years vacation up to July. I always by an AP and use it for 2 vacations. This year 2 weeks during the 4th of July and next year early June. Saves a load of cash!
