Discount rates if room is already booked?

I know people ask this all the time, but I'm hoping to book tomorrow for a solo trip in the first week of December-

If I book my room-only tomorrow through CRO and later find a discount code, will they honor the code? Can I change to a completely different hotel? What if I book through Expedia, etc.?

I'd welcome tips from anyone.

If you have a "room only" reservation with Disney you can have them apply a discount code after the fact if there are still rooms left at that discounted rate. If you book through Expedia or any other travel service, you have to go through them. However, Expedia usually doesn't reflect available discount codes in their pricing.

Yes, if you book CRO, you may change to a different resort, if there are rooms at that resort available at the discount. (Or, if you decide you would like to change to another resort even if discounts do not come out, you can do that too, if available.)
