If you are staying in a deluxe resort, yes you would get two $500.00 gift cards. Your dining plan savings, vs. the gift cards, depends on the age of your children and the number of nights you are staying.

Just saw the ages of your kids in your signature. For a 7 night stay, the free dining discount would save you about $1340.00. So at least a $340.00 savings over the gift card deal.

thanks Tiffany! The kids will be 14, 11, 8 and 3 when we go. I don't think that changes anything though

You're welcome! We are also a family of 6, with 4 kids. This will be our 4th trip to WDW with the Free Dining Discount - it saves us a fortune! We will be there December 10 - 19 and I can't hardly wait.
