Way back in 1995 (I think) we stayed at the BC. We had such a horrible time with housekeeping (they didn't empty the trash, one night left it tipped over with trash spilling out, wouldn't spray a little bleach spray for all the mold in the shower, it went on and on) plus they stuck us in a room with double beds for the first night (they advertise queen size beds, but apparantly not all rooms could fit those, so some at least used to have double beds, which I specifically was trying to avoid by staying at a deluxe resort). When we got home, I thought the manager would appreciate knowing how we felt about mostly the horrible housekeeping we received (even after the housekeeping manager came to the room to see how badly they were doing one night). I wrote a letter, and in response I was offered a free night to return. In just so happened that a year later, we had to go to Orlando as my DH had a Marine Corps Justice conference at the Hilton at DTD, so we used the free night the first night there, then moved to SOG. The free room, sadly, wasn't much better, but we just needed a place to sleep.
I haven't returned to the BC since, but am considering a BCV for our anniversary this year. At least at a villa, I won't be too picky about housekeeping, as I keep the kitchen spotless anyway! I always end up cleaning a villa kitchen better than the housekeepers do the first day!!!
It was weird how they offered us a free night - that really still benefits them, as we'll eat there and spend money, and odds are we would have stayed longer there, although we didn't.
I don't see a reason to "flame" this question posed by the OP. Maybe they are just curious if they should complain when it is warranted? If I ran a resort, I'd want to know the good and bad jobs my staff is doing.
