Discount options....

My son is going to WDW. As a family we have DVC and Disney Visa discounts (in my name).

Can I send him with either my DVC card or my Disney Visa in order to get dining and shopping discounts?

We don't have the same but he can prove he lives at my address, so part of my family.

Thoughts appreciated...

When I've used these options & AP discount option in the past, the CM has always asked for my ID making sure the name on the card matched to me. I would say it might depend on the CM but as I understand, the name on the card must match the person to get the discount.

For DVC, it has to match entirely -- only the member gets the discounts.

He is NOT entitled to DVC discounts. The name and the card must match exactly

Yes the full name must match the person. That's why they want my ID.

Not sure how old he is or how comfortable you would feel doing so, but my dd is an authorized user on my disney visa and received a card in her own name. It does show up on her reports, so take that in mind as a deciding factor.
