I need to buy tickets for family that will be traveling with us this summer. They plan to do one day at US/IOA, but possibly another time in the future. So the current 7 day special ticket does not help us. I looked on several websites and there doesn't appear to be any multi-day tickets anymore (like in the past). We had tought a 2 day or 3 day multi ticket that doesn't expire might be a wise choice. But that doesn't seem to be an option. We thought a power pass since they will not be going during weekends or holidays. They would probably only use the pass 2 times, but it would be cheaper than 2 one day tickets for 2 parks. We are both AP holders (preferred) and it says that we get a 15% discount on tickets. Does this apply to annual passes? (i.e., power passes) and do I have to buy them at the gate. The AP website was not helpful in getting any info. I saw the great rate for Florida residents, but you would think AP holders could get the same deal. The family would most likely go for one day in August and possibly another day the following August. Any suggestions?

The AP discount of 15% on the one-day two-park ticket is only available at the gate and not available on additional annual passes. The AP deals are usually better than the FL resident rate. You might want to take advantage of the Power Pass deal...it's $30.00 off for FL residents.

But no one is a Florida resident, so we can't buy that one. We are AP holders, but not FL resident. Thanks, it looks like they will just have to buy one day 2 park tickets unless they offer a deal on the power pass before August for non-residents or AP holders.

Ah OK...I thought you were residents. Universal will always offer the AP discounts so that sounds like the way to go. :thumbsup2

Publix Supermarkets in Florida sells Power Passes for $99 plus tax. Just got one for my daughter in Febuary.

This would be great! Does anyone know if it's for Florida residents or not? I tried to search on more information, but didn't come up with anything. I'll be there next month, so will check it out. Since this is for the family August trip, we could check into it then.

No strings, anyone can buy. I purchased these back in October as well as in Febuary. They come out to $106 with tax. You purchase them at Publix, then turn them in at any ticket window at Universal for the actual pass, so you could purchase them next month and have your family activate them in August. Publix has a gift card display, this is where you'll find them.

Thanks!! This is just what I need.

Are these passes avaible locally at the publix's in and around Kissimee?
Sounds like these passes are not valid on weekends or holidays? Last question is how long are they good for from first useand are they good for both parks?

TIA

In addition to what Nerdboy posted, the Power Passes do NOT have any discounts with them and NO free parking. If someone in your party has a Preferred or Premier Pass, you would get the discounts.

Does anyone know if these are still available at Publix?

I have not been to a Publix in Kissimee. But my guess would be yes they are. We have them for sale here in Naples so if I had to guess I would say it would be the same there.

Do you know where in the store we need to go to purchase them. At the register or where they sell lottery tickets??

Its not where lotto is... There is a big rack I think they have in all the stores with a bunch of cards. You take the card to register and gets activated I think when there and I believe just a voucher to give at Universal. I havent bought one yet been considering it for my nephew it will depend if my sister lets me take him. But either ask someone where all their gift cards etc are located for stores or you can take a quick look around the store it should be near the front but not up near lotto on other side of the registers, ours is on the corner of the isle with the napkins for sale.

:thumbsup2 Thats what we did for our fam of 4.3 got power andDW got theg the preferred. This way everyone in our party gets the discounts.

If I had to guess I would say its year-round. I dont actively look for the tickets everytime but I have never not noticed them being there. Its a great deal imo I would imagine as long as ticket prices dont go up or they get new tickets it will be around for a while.

I cant seem to find the $99 power pass anywhere.

Publix prices have gone up to $114.95

Is there anywhere left where I can get 3 universal power passes for $99 each?????????????

I don't think so as the prices have gone up everywhere. At the gate and online they are now $139.99 plus tax.
