Hi all, We are back from our summer hols and we left for Disneyland on 26th july ( so sorry i'm only now letting you know but ive had no internet all month)

Anyway when we arrived on 27th july we went straight to Donald desk as the Passport office in the park was closed (now open) Anyway before we left i had checked everything regarding getting 20% family discount for 5 passes and also getting the 15% sharholder discount.

When we were buyng our passes, i was told that i couldnt get the sharholders discount too,:scared1:
I'm very sorry i told the woman but i double checked everything before i left and yes i can, can i please speak to someone who knows more about the shareholder discount?
I was passed on to another member of staff who again said No you cant have it but as she didnt understand a lot of english i was passed to another member of staff, at this point i felt like just paying the money as they were very busy as the passport office in the park was closed and my hubby going are you sure?? lol
I stuck to my money saving ways and Politely spoke to the next lady and told her what i thought to be true regarding the only time they will add two discounts is if it is shareholder and family discount ad she told me that that expired last year in sept/oct time.
Oh i said but i did check and the shareholder website says you can (i was annoyed with myself for not taking a printout from the site).
Ok she said i will be back......... after about another 10-15min she came back and said she checked with a supervisor and said its fnished but we will give it to you this time! :woohoo:

We were then passed back to one of lady's to process everything and was stunned to realise that the computer was all programmed ready to take off the discounts that i was just told i couldt have?!? Grr but also :) because it was being done.

All in all it took us quite a while as the woman kept making mistakes and she was finishing work or going on break so we were passed to another lady!
Anyway after a long time, talking to about 6 different people, photo's taken about 15 times between the 5 of us and handing over a wad of cash we finally walked out with our annual passes!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I just checked the shareholder website and the info is still there so if anyone is going soon and wants these discounts perhaps you might like to take a print out and it might save you a little time.

Good luck xx

We had a similar experience in July....although we weren't told the offer had expired.

We did give in and pay, but luckily then did find a supervisor who was very clear that it was okay, and sorted us out with a refund.

yes, it does sound like CMs don't generally know the 2 discounts can be combined for family APs, so printing off the information from the shareholders priveleges page before you go makes a lot of sense.

We had problems obtaining both discounts when we bought our second set of APs way back in 2007 even though I had taken a print-out of the T&C in both French and English (we had no problem with our first set in 2005). The CM tried to tell me the offer was no longer valid and the website was out of date! As is so often the case no manager was around and I was about to march the CM up to Salon Mickey :rotfl2: when a manager came back from her break and luckily she knew her stuff.

It's so annoying that it's still so very hit and miss regarding APs. DLP really ought to get their act together on this one - are there really so few families of 5+ who are shareholders?? :confused3

Thank goodness you all got it sorted. :goodvibes

We purchased new Dream AP's on the evening of 29/08 (first time as a shareholder) - our previous Dream AP's expired in April 2011.

The AP window at the side near the Disneyland Hotel entrance was shut so I was told at the assistance desk to just go to the normal ticket windows and I could buy them there.

I handed my old AP's over and said I would like to renew - a few clicks and was told it was € 795.00 , I then handed over my shareholders card and was told that I couldn't use both, I politely advised the CM that I could and she pressed a few more keys and then said okay, it was € 715.00 which didn't seem right as I remembered working it out previously and it started with a 6.

I told her that it was 20% and then 15% but she said it was the computer that worked the price out and not her

I used the calculator on my phone and told her the price should be € 676.60 which was 199 x 5 less 20% less 15% (showed her the amount on the screen)

She then agreed and I paid € 675.00

I had to pay € 12.00 to park in the main car park which they refused to refund - couldn't understand why a shareholder got a € 3.00 discount but it was better than € 15.00 :confused3
