Discount Magic Kingdom tickets? Such a thing?

We normally book a package or purchase our tickets from U. T. but we were told to wait until we get there to buy them because we will be able to find 1 day Magic kingdom tickets much cheaper than buying at the gate or through U.T.

If someone says you can get discounted tickets, it's usually a scam. I would avoid it.

One day tickets are cheaper at the gate or through Disney direct than undercover tourist. But like 5 bucks, not a lot cheaper

You can control what you spend on lots of components of a Disney trip - except the tickets.

Unless you have a special membership like military ..... UT, AAA, Tickets at Work....and a couple others will save you a few dollars on multi day tickets but one day, no.

The disadvantage to waiting until you get there is no advance FP+ booking.

I have never ever heard of this and we have been many times.
It was actually someone in the CAA office that heard us talking about tickets when we were there. Not staff but just a customer.

Buying a single day ticket is cheaper if you buy directly from Disney, but you shouldn't wait until you get there.

I wouldn't give up the ability to book my fast passes in advance for a few dollars

Did they at least tell you who you're supposed to buy these tickets from. Seems like such bad and vague advice.
