Properly programmed computers can do just about anything. Since we do not have room service; checkins and checkouts use staff; etc. Why not a discount for people who use their points for longer stays?

DVC resorts are "owned" by the members. There is a specific, limited number of points sold for each resort. How would/could DVC do point discounts for longer stays without negatively impacting the value of other member's points?? I don't think there is a legal way to point discounts of any kind, considering the contracts we have all signed.

I'm not sure there would be any savings anyway. While it is true that staff is related to the number of guests and the length of time they stay, DVC needs a certain base number of staff just to run the resort. IMHO, there would have to be a significant change in guests' visits to change the number of staff required enough to make a difference in our dues.
