Discount for Campsites 3/29 to 5/21

No you won't have to move as long as your reservations are consecutive and at the same level.

If you end up with multiple reservations, when you check in the FIRST time, tell the CM also about the 2nd reservation and they will add a note not to bump you or reassign. And then if it were me, sometime the night before the first reservation ended, I'd wander back up to the lobby and confirm that you are in the site, are staying on a second reservation, and not moving. Never heard of anyone having to move if same level.

One time I checked in, got assigned a loop, and someone was set up on it! I called the front office and got a different site assigned (which was empty). Disney didn't make the other folks move.

If you can string together $30 a night savings for a number of your nights, it does add up. So if it works, queen, go for it.

PS - when you have multiple reservations, they can NOT be merged together if one has the discount and the other doesn't. (Usually i merge them if the two are identical). So the night before a reservation ends, make sure the office has your next reservation pre-assigned to your current site number and add the "do not bump" note. Because I've bumped plenty of pre-assigned folks (nearly every time) on arrival morning. But if you are already on it, you have "squatter's rights", so to speak. And if you mention it all on the initial check-in, you probably don't even have to do the night before thing. But I have just for peace of mind.
I should have read this first. Tomorrow is my FP day so maybe I will call and change it after I make my selections

I was able to get a discount on my previously booked tent site the week of May 17th. Surprised it was available but every little bit counts!

Super bummed this doesn't include June. Not that campsites are ever discounted in June. But seeing that the dates that I booked in January are now completely unavailable, I imagine that Disney doesn't need to discount it.

Just for grins and giggles I think I'm gonna try one more time to see if I can get the discount on my previously booked reservation. Maybe a different cast member will figure something out?

Darn I just saw this post. First 2 weeks of May booked in a full hookup but no discounts left for those - only Premium Meadows and even with the discount would cost me $400 more. I really need to visit this board more often so I don't miss out.

Same here

I know there are a lot of unknowns right now BUT I was able to call today and apply this discount to my May 6-14th trip. They still say April 1 is anticipated open date but I don’t see it happening. Even if Disney is open in May, our SIL is active duty and is on a current travel ban of 50 miles from base. Hoping for some pixie dust.

The Rumors and News forum just posted that CMs finally had the schedule released for next week and it was blank... no shifts. So it looks like things will still be closed (as expected) after April 1.

Well the county has a shelter in place ban on until April 6th and they said it affects Disney also.

I was able to apply the discount for May 6-10 reservation in full hookup site, but clearly the discount is only applied to the Weds and Thursday night. But I didn't have to make two reservations. Fingers crossed the Fort will be back open. We were supposed to be camping at Anastasia state park this week, then that canceled. Rebooked that to May 6-10, then they cancelled again closing all the state parks. Third try might be the charm.

Now we just wait and see if the new travel trailer shows up at the dealer before then (trading up), the deposit was made 10 weeks ago at the big RV show in Tampa.

I switched a reservation from Easter to mid-August and the tent site was less than $70! I haven't seen those prices for over 5 years! @bama_ed Is that their lowest price? I'm off to search for your price chart.
ETA: So the price is the value season price but they didn’t charge a higher price for weekends. Can’t wait.

Well here is the link to the 2020 pricing spreadsheet I did (first post on page 2, #21).

Those prices, which include tax, are only accurate on the day they were released. I watched one of the recent DIS podcasts, Allie, and they said they expected increases in resort rates, dining, tickets, etc. this year to make up some of the lost revenue. So I expect there to be some "shadow" price increases (which is normal - WDW prices don't ever go down. :sad2: ).

But yes you are correct, August is among the lowest rate periods of the entire year. I know you are your family are used to the heat in summer and I hope you can get assigned (or request) a shady campsite. And do I remember correctly you replaced your pup AC a few years ago too? It will be getting a workout on this trip.

Let us know how it goes.

I agree that there will probably be price increases but right now, the price is lower than published. I was charged $68 for all my nights including the weekend. I’m not complaining :yay: AT ALL. Our Easter trip was to be my brothers family first trip to Disney PLUS first time in their popup plus first Fort trip.

I was a bit disappointed that I had to cancel my May (2 week reservation), but am rescheduling for balmy and sizzling July. Also disappointed that hotel guests were offered free dining if they cancelled due to the virus, but the campground was excluded. Oh well.

I think that they at least ought to honor the 20% Discount for campsites that they offered through May to people who need to re-book.

I don't really care about free dining because we have a TT and prepare most of our own meals, and even if we were staying in a resort, free dining is almost never a good deal for us. That beinhink it's rather lousy that they aren't offering any sort of incentive to campground guests. We are going to most likely lose our 12 night May/June trip and I'm going to just cancel instead of keeping money tied up in Disney and trying to reschedule. There is zero motivation to reschedule.
