We just purchased a DVD player, now all we need are DVD's. Are there any good places to buy DVD's in store or online at a discount??

I find some deals on DVDs and videos at BJs and Costco. They occasionally have a selection of older movies that are marked down to $10-$14 or so. Also Tower records has sales with some at DVDs at $10-www.towerrecords.com.
Good luck!

I get my best buys on new releases at Wal-mart. If you go the day that they are released--usually on a Tuesday they are around $5 off at Walmart.

They also have several racks of older (but not ancient) release DVD's for around $9.97 and $14.97. Great buys!

Blockbuster Video has program now, something like "Rent It, Watch it, Like It, Buy It". When you rent a video, you have 14 days or so to buy a previously rented version for a discounted price. Last week we rented My Big Fat Greek Wedding for 4.25 and then could have bought it for $7.99. I thought it was kinda neat.

Also at blockbuster they sell previously viewed DVD's. They come with a 30 day warrenty. Just save your receipt and if they won't play they will exchange it out. Plus if you watch for sales there you can get some good deals on used DVD's. They will also price match as long as you have a printed add.

Here's a great source for dvd's.....ready........get your pen out.......get ready to bookmark..........ok here it is:

www.dvdpricesearch.com

Just type in the movie you want and it will search just about everyones price and give you a list of the best ones including shipping.
I also like to check there all the time because they list all the coupons out there. Many only last a day or two.
I love that site.

Wal-Mart has Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The tigger movie, The fox and the hound, Robin Hood, and a few others for 14.97. Check there.

This week Target has The Fox and the Hound, Emperors New Groove Dinosaur and I think another one for $12.99 - had to get a raincheck for Fox and Hound here.

I would second http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com . They are usually a dollar or two less than most other places. I also use Amazon and Wal-Mart a lot for DVDs.

You also might want to think about an online dvd rental service like Netflix or DVD Barn. I have used Netflix since 1999 and have had no problems. They have a great selection and a quick turn around.

You can compare some of the different online rental services at http://www.online-dvd-rental-comparison.com
