I'm a Disney planning newbie. I've been before, but never planned the trip myself.

I've heard so much about the codes on Mousesavers and learned that you can book a trip and apply the codes later for discounts.

If this is correct, can someone please give me an example of how this is done? I mean, can you build a hypothetical scenerio for me, and show me how the codes work? I'm planning on staying at the YC this summer (dates not finalized yet) in a standard room, and may book through AAA.

Thanks in advance!

Last year I reserved a room at Rack Rate at Coronado Springs. A few months before my trip, Mousesavers published a public code anyone could use. I called up CRO and asked to get the lower rate applied to my reservation. No problem.

A few weeks later, the Annual Passholder rates came out which were even lower. Since I had an annual pass, I called them up again and got an even lower rate applied to my ressie.

It's pretty simple, but you must be diligent because they only allot a certain number of rooms at the lower rate and you could miss it if you dally.

Very simple. Make your reservations now with the AAA discount...call Disney toll free 1-800-421-3732 . Check this site as well as mousesavers.com frequently (I check everyday). When you see a code (ex. "BCC") that applies to your travel dates, just call Disney back and ask them to apply the code. They do this often, so it's not a big deal.

Thanks Fabwallsmom for posting the question about codes. I had the same confusion and questions. Thanks to those who answered so clearly. Thanks for the help!! :sunny:
