From what I understand the 20% discount does not begin until Dec and runs till Jan.

You don't have to wait for the DVC discount. If you shop now, you can get 25% off of your order. :cool1:

A good discount, but unfortunately only for "select" items and I don't seem to be lucky enough to select the correct items. In my cart of 5 items, only one thing is eligible. it would be great if it was a discount on all!! I also read that we have to apply for the 20% discount for DVC, so will be waiting to see that. Keep in mind that disneydirect is not adding sales taxes for most areas so it makes the savings even bigger. This happened when the disneydirect outlets were recently sold and now the merchandise is only available online.

AT the DVC Chicago reception held today, they spoke about this as a 20% discount during the month of December only. It was mentioned that it is a "shopping pass" type of thing and more info should be available on the website.

I was told it started 21 Nov but we shall see soon.

:confused3 :confused3 HUH??

Put me in the "confused" category.

25% off certain items, no tax in most areas, AND free shipping if you spend $75 or more. Oh, and if you use a Disney Visa you get 5x the normal rewards for that purchase.

I received a few of those $50 referral cards from DVC and used one yesterday to take advantage of some of the 25% off items. However, since I can't combine the gift cards, I'm saving one of the other cards until the 20% off promo starts.

For some reason I ordered a bunch of Disney Xmas ornaments.... We are gonna have a Disney tree this year! :rotfl: :goodvibes

FYI- I just did a lot of my XMAS shopping at disneyshopping and it was great with the discount and free shipping with an order over $100. The disney ornaments are very inexpensive. If you still have some shopping to do then you should check it out.

I mentioned this in another thread: I found it better to NOT use the DVC discount -- they were offering (and may still be offering) a $50 discount for all orders over $200. I had to remove the DVC discount before I could add that discount.

Vascubaguy -

I have finally recieved a $25 gift card for disneyshopping.com for referring someone. Help - where and how do I apply this reference #? Do I order and fill in my info. Where/when does it ask you for it?

Thanks.

bicker-

I looked and I did not see anything about a $50 dollar discount. I agree that would have been better. Where did you get the info?

It was just offered when I got into the shopping cart.

When you are done shopping and adding things to your cart, go thru the checkout process. When you get to the payment section, one of the options is to enter a Disney gift card. Just enter the number that is on the card in the email. They will deduct that amount later and then charge the balance to the credit card you provide.

Hope that helps and happy shopping.

Oh, on a side note, I was back out there today glancing around... a lot of the ornaments I ordered are even cheaper now! typical! But I called because my vintage donald duck was broken when it arrived, so they are sending me another set of the vintage storybook figures at no charge, and I don't have to send anything back... so I'll have 2 sets of those.... woohoo...

Of course, I don't think there are any limbs left on the tree to hang anything. It's really full of disney stuff!

I made the mistake of ordering a few things one day and planning on doing some more a few days later. When I went back in to order more things, it wouldn't allow me to use the DVC discount code. Apparently they are only good for one use! However, it must have been my luck day because they were running a 1 day 20% off to all shopping on-line. It worked out, but I wish I had known it was a one-time use discount code.

Okay I found the 10% code on the member page but there was no mention of the 20% of code.

Can someone point me in the right direction to look? Did it come with my planning guide that I haven't read yet.

Thanks!

It was published in Vacation Magic, on Page 4, at the top of the page. Sorry, but per DIS policy, the code cannot be posted.
