Discount adjustments on current reservations

I know that Disney will adjust a reservation for a new promotion i.e. applying free dining to an existing reservation. But how often will they do this?

Is it a one shot deal or can you call and have them apply a better discount later?

For example, right now I have a reservation that includes a dining plan. Today I saw a 20% deal if you add dining to a package. Ideally I'd like to catch free dining if it is offered for January 2013. If I call and have them apply the 20% off today will that bar me from being able to switch out that discount for free dining if it is offered down the road?

pretty sure there's no limit as long as there's availability for the discount at the resort you have chosen (or are willing to change resorts to get the discount) Also make sure that is an actual discount. Sounds like they are just trying to push the dining plan in mentioning you can save up to 20% vs paying OOP for meals.

Thanks for the tip..I went back through and I actually have the "discount" already. When i put the dates through again before I forgot to check off the park hopper option.

Its good to know though that they're flexible enough to apply the best discount possible but as I've been told before, you have to be vigilent about knowing which discount is the best to ask for.
