Dream Sequence: I am Cinderella, again. This time I'm in the middle of a Rogers & Hammerstein production singing.... "10 minutes ago I met you, I looked up when you came through the door... My head started reeling you gave me the feeling, the room had no ceiling or floor!" Just as I am dancing with my Prince the clock starts to chime midnight... or is it the bells are ringing? Or is it the phone ringing? WHHAAA? I grab the phone and I hear "Hello, Pal. Times a wasting...!"
Woh there Mr. Mouse! One eye open, blink...blink.. okay both eyes now open (What time is it?) 5:45 AM!! What was I thinking? Stumble to the coffee pot for liquid brain stimulation... pour water in before coffee is in the filter compartment. No that is wrong... coffee should be darker than clear. Let's try that again! Get it right the second time around! Whew, that was close! Who gave that darn mouse my phone number, anyway?
I am dressed warmly and bedecked with my "tiara and jewels" again, sitting on the bench waiting for the first bus to MK with my cheese bear claw and my cup of Starbucks Columbian coffee! I am all alone waiting at the Hospitality House for that bus. I jump up as the bus arrives... Nope! Animal Kingdom. I jump up again when another one rounds the corner. This one is for MGM Studios. When the next bus comes and it is for EPCOT, I take a good long look at the driver to make sure he isn't the same one just circling around and changing his destination sign before pulling up to the stop! I think they must be teasing me, because unless I am really uninformed the Magic Kingdom is the ONLY early entry park this morning... so where is the bus!? OF COURSE... the next bus arrives and it is for the MK! I share the bus with one other family from England and we are all equally giddy!
I cannot put into words the joy I have going to the MK for the first time each trip. There are certain days that I won't even go in order to preserve the MAGIC! The EMH mornings are a MUST for me ONLY at the MK. Nothing compares to the feeling of being on Main Street when everything is squeaky clean. You have time to meander and dawdle a bit. Replenish your coffee. Stop at a pin cart. Look at the castle at the end of Main Street and have your breath quicken with the beauty of it all! So different from the group experience! No dawdling...as soon as we see the castle, we are doing the sneaker shuffle and making a move for Tomorrowland or Fantasyland! LOL!
I only have a few MUSTS for this morning... ALL my favorites and things I have missed in the past. Buzz Lightyear is first! WHY? Because it is FUN! Shooting aliens and saving humanity is a good start to anyone's morning! After defeating ZURG (sorry zurgswife, but we had to do it!), it's off to SPACE MOUNTAIN! God help me if I'm ever too OLD for this ride! I had a wonderful conversation with a family who was discussing whether SM was too "intense" for their daughters. I replied, "Well, I'm riding it!"... LOL! They looked at me like, ..."if she can ride mom, WE can ride!" Needless to say they had a ball!
On the way to grab a FP for Winnie the Pooh, I take a turn on the teacups! What fun! I love to spin! I manage to ride everything but DUMBO and IT's A SMALL WORLD (two rides I avoid on principle alone when travelling solo) LOL! PETER PAN, however, is a must do.. one of my favorites... The carousel is another one I cannot avoid! It must be some childhood love that cannot be expiated... I always try to find JUST the right horse! After the carousel, I return to WTP to ride with my FP. I talk a family into riding who is standing there wondering if it is a "GOOD RIDE". YES!!
I think it is WONDERFUL! If Mr. Toad's Wild Ride had to go, then this was just the ride to replace it! Just before getting into my WTP car, another couple is smiling and waving at me going "IT's HER!" Hello, we remember you from "The Millionaire Show"! Then they are whooshed inside the ride! I am smiling and thinking they look familiar as well... When I get off the ride, they are waiting for me in the WTP gift shop at the end of the ride. Talk about a small world... it is the gentleman who was in the HOT SEAT right after me!! WOW! Deja Vu all over again! It was so fun comparing our experiences before waving goodbye. What are the odds of that ever happening? Like a needle in a haystack, right?
I continue over to Frontierland where I am able to Ride BTMRR 3 times in a row... this ride is especially fun in the morning or at night for the spectacular views. Splash Mountain is down this morning for some kind of inspection. When I checked back later it is operating, but still too cold for wet britches... IYKWIM!
You can see the castle from the top of BTMRR and a crane is used for an inspection on Splash Mountain!
I am using the Disbug "Willy Nilly" touring plan this morning doing a little criss-crossing based on what is open vs what time it is...! So, I head back towards the castle for the Cinderella's Surprise Celebration show... hoping for a Dole Whip on the way, but no can do... NOT OPEN YET! Darn! As I approach the castle I am really charmed by how beautiful it looks against the blue, blue sky and the wispy clouds! This is a great show if you have not seen it... try to get up close so you can follow the action and the story!
Good always defeats evil in the Magic Kingdom!
I am in the right place at the right time to hear "Story Time with Belle" over near WTP and the Teacups... I grab a slab of stone for a seat and wait for the performance to begin. HERE SHE COMES!
Belle weaves her tale while we sit spellbound!
This is a new MUST for me, especially with small children. What a great Story Teller she is! I was caught up even though we already knew the tale.... Afterwards we were instructed to line up for pictures and autographs and don't you know I was in that LINE!
Belle and me!
Since I arrived early for the EMH I have almost completely finished all the rides in the MK I had set out to do including, MICKEY's PHILHARMAGIC! What a hoot! If you have not seen this 3D Movie Experience.... don't leave it out on your next trip! I LOVED IT! Many laughs during this you won't want to miss.
This is getting long so off to Part 15!
