Disbug on Solo Mission for Sigma Delta Sorority.... first attempt at scoring cheap trading pins in St. Augustine bombed miserably so I head for the next known cache of discounted pins at the Orlando Premium Outlets....

Enemy agents have obviously alerted store personnel that I am on the way because there are NO discounted pins at this location either!! "RATS, FOILED AGAIN!" I am distracted from my mission by what appears to be a giant stringed transmitter disguised as a harp. I know better. Trying to fit in with the tourists I stop a spell and enjoy the New Age Sounds of this musician. I cannot detect anything sinister and decide it is getting late and I must rendezvous with my contact at the check-in desk of the LaQuinta Inn Lakeside... one of PriceLine's pride and joy 2 star "Resorts". Secret Agent Guidance System appears to be malfunctioning especially since I forgot to read the directions to my PriceLine Hotel before packing it in the back seat! Nevertheless I know 535 intersects with 192 so I hang a left from the Belz Factory Outlet instead of getting back on I-4. WRONG... that was definitely the wrong way ~ but hey, this is a solo journey! I've always wanted to count how many hotels and fast food places and red lights there are on 192... both east and west! I probably drive about 35 minutes more than I had to but I am ready to see my hotel. Luckily I am not expecting anything fancy... and that is just what I get!

I manage to check-in after paying $7 for a 2 night "resort fee" which will guarantee the lights will switch on and off and the water will be hot and cold. Just as I received my room key I am instructed that I may not leave until I talk to the other secret agent at the counter. I think this is a test as many personal questions are asked about my gainful employment and how often I vacation in the Orlando area... Trick questions almost stump me like: "Are you sure you don't want to buy any tickets to go along with your Annual Pass?" and "When can you stop by for a few 90 minute TimeShare presentations?" I smile and chat amiably as I inch towards the door and exit with a cheery "Thanks, but no thanks! Have a nice day!" Whew! That was close... I almost blew my cover with that interview. It is time to unpack and get ready for tonight!

Great trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Great reports as always.....keep them coming!!! I need good reading material!! LOL

Thank you for reading and posting to my trip report segment, minniespal, mouseteacher, and corky805!

:wave2: Back to the Secret Mission now!

More Mission please. Now who really wants to sit in a Timeshare presentation on their Disney vacation. NO, NO, NO. You exited there beautifully.

That was great....That resort fee was pretty low if you want guaranteed HOT water...LOL

zurgswife~ I thought so, too! In fact, judging from the fact that I got "pressure washed" whenever I took a shower... it was a real bargain if you compare it to what the local car wash charges! LOL!

yecats~ I am always looking for opportunities to practice my graceful exits! :p
