Hey, Heather! I just saw your Chip N Dale skirt on YCMT!

Has anyone made decoupaged shoes? I saw the e-book on YCMT, and wondered if there was a simple, general idea that anyone could throw out?

I wanted your advice on a project. I'm going to applique pillowcase Sebastian to a shirt for Sawyer. I am pretty sure I'm going to iron on the phrase in a word balloon. But, I wanted to see if you all like it better with or without the phrase. Obviously, it won't be a big white block when I put it on, that's just how it turned out in photo shop. He'll wear this on the day that Tessa wears her pillowcase Ariel dress.

ETA: You don't need to add this picture to the photobucket account, Teresa! Hopefully I'll add a finished picture with Sawyer wearing it soon!

I love it!!! I love it even more knowing Tessa!!! It's perfect!!! I like the little bubble idea!
I think it would be cute with the phrase in a big water bubble with smaller bubbles leading up to it. Definitely add the phrase, however you do it. By the way, my older daughter's name is Tessa. :goodvibes
Wow, you named YOUR daughter after me too!!! WOW! I feel so privledged! :thumbsup2

This was inside of the China Pavillion by the terra cotta warriors, before we went to Akershus. No customs. Brianna insisted on the purchased dress.

WHAT???? It's there and I wasn't given prior notification!!!!??? HEATHER SUE!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

And I would STRONGLY discourage you from buying that Ebook! Basically, all it says is to buy the fabric mod podge, and put fabric scraps on the shoes. Seriously, it's not worth the money.

Can I just say how very very excited I am that we are going to Florida in just over 80 days!!!!! WOO HOOO!!!!!

So, it's just basic fabric mod podge? I knew there had to be a simple way. Thanks! I'll give it a go!

It is the perfect phrase for Tessa, huh? I tried to put it in a bubble for the picture on here, but couldn't figure out how to do it in that program.

I didn't know it was on YCMT yet!!

Ok, I'll forgive you then!

Well, you have good taste in names, too! :thumbsup2 How old is your Tessa?

Mine is 10. She made a drawstring bag on my machine yesterday and was so excited she took it to school today to show all of her friends. Now, they all want one. :)

She will be 11 on April 11 so we are making gold fabric drawstring goody bags for her "golden" birthday.

Wow, you named YOUR daughter after me too!!! WOW! I feel so privledged! :thumbsup2

:teeth: My mom was so upset that we didn't name her Teresa (gotta name them after saints, you know) but we explained that Tessa was a derivative of Teresa so it counted. ;)

I can now say I know a famous model!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously, Heather that was such a good job on the skirt, and Tessa is a dollbaby! That's great for you!

Hi Everyone,

i haven't had chance to post in this new thread yet, have been so busy lately. i have been checking in every couple of days to see what everyone has created. Everything has been fabulous!

Here is what i have been working on for Ashlia. Its a face form the pillowcase i posted on the last thread that also had belle smelling the rose. Its not finished yet because i wanted to ask everyones opinion. Here are my options-

1. hem the bottom of the Aurora top without a ruffle
2. Add a musk pink ruffle to the bottom of the Aurora top to match the straps and skirt ruffle
3. Add a rose print ruffle to the bottom of the aurora top to match the ruffle up the top but then not match the skirt.

What does everyone think? I am leaning towards option 2 so it ties in well with the skirt.

I really wished i had but a rose print ruffle along the demin skirt, but i done musk pink at the time because i never planned to use the rose print on this outfit at all, it was brought for a belle outfit, but i changed my mind and i really don't want to do the skirt again because it took a while to do the embroidery and then make the skirt and add the ruffle by hand.

I would put the rose print on the bottom. It will look fine with the dusty rose you have on ths skirt. You have the straps that match too. I htink it is looking really cute!!! If you really want to put the rose print on the skirt, you could add another ruffle behind the dusty rose, and a little longer so that it peeks out the bottom. But, really, I think it looks great the way it is.

ETA: hmmm, I'm looking at it again, and thinking the dusty rose would be really cute too! Big help, huh!?!

could you put a strip of each fabric at the bottom and take a picture?

What about doing a ruffle of alternating fabrics? A strip of the darker pink, a strip of the rose print, a strip of dark pink, a strip of rose print...

Heres a quick photo of ashlia. Its a little big on her because i made it without a pattern. she seems to like it and keeps repeating "you made this for me' over and over.

Thanks for the comments on my little model!! I'm wishing I would have taken a better picture now!

1. hem the bottom of the Aurora top without a ruffle
2. Add a musk pink ruffle to the bottom of the Aurora top to match the straps and skirt ruffle

I LOVE this top!! It's absolutely adorable! I think it would look cutest with the rose print for the ruffle. But, I also think it would be really cute to add a little bit of the rose print on the skirt, too. Maybe you could applique a rosebud print crown above where it says "princess". Of course, it would still look cute even if you didn't do that.

ETA: Now that I see it on her, I'm worried that the ruffle would cover up the princess embroidery, unless you shortened the shirt a little. She is beautiful, by the way!!

I would go with the rose print ruffle at the bottom of the shirt and maybe add a rose ruffle under the pink one on the skirt so that it will have roses on it too.

I agree with you- Option 2
Because the back is in the rose print I think it would be better to have the darker pink as the ruffle.

Heather- Congrats to Tessa such a cutie!! And as for sebation- I like the words!! It would be cute in the bubbles too!!
