Weight Watchers.....I'm in!!! I'm actually sitting here contemplating ordering the 3 months of weight watchers online. Does anyone use that or do you all go to meetings?? I've got about 100 lbs to lose.

Seems with each pregnancy I just keep putting on the weight and never losing any. But I'm determined to do something about it and keep to it this time.
I signed up for the monthly pass online for $39, or something like that. Then, I can go to meetings, too. I haven't made it to a meeting yet, though.
As for WW, I did the "in-person" version and was very successful. My local WW had a "wee ones welcome" meeting where you could bring kids. It was a little loud, but at least I got to go. Years later after regaining weight I tried the online version and I sort of dropped off after a few weeks. I think I need the human interaction to force my accountability. Posting on here should help. I'm going to start out on my own right now and if it doesn't work, I'll need to get back to WW meetings!
I always do better when I go to meetings, too.
To explain the Styrofoam "cake". In bakeries when they put a cake on display the inside is styrofoam usually wrapped in plastic wrap. This makes a cake form that can be decorated like a real cake without the inside going bad. The icing is real and the airbrushing on it is real too. The Western cake was on display for about two weeks until someone throw a huge peice of concrete through the huge front window of the bakery.

We know why you made a styrafoam cake. We were just joking! Teresa has a terrible fear of styrafoam.
I LOVE this cake!!!! It's absolutely adorable!! I really have to try fondant! I could post a picture of my favorite cake I've made, but it doesn't hold up to the ones you two have posted today!!
I remember when I was about 8 or 9 my mom took a class to learn to decorate cakes. For the final, they had to bring in a "cake" they'd decorated all on their own. With 5 kids, you can imagine she did most of the work at night so imagine our excitement the morning we saw that beautiful cake thinking we'd get to eat it after the class... and then our utter disappointment when she told us it was done on styrofoam!!! We felt betrayed and appalled that she's waist such good frosting on something we wouldn't be able to eat.
BTW - Anyone watch
Ace of Cakes on
The Food Network? I love seeing their creations. It makes me so tempted to try making some fondant to experiment with.
Oh my gosh, what a funny story!

I like Ace of Cakes! They make some amazing cakes on there. I can't figure out how they cut the cakes up without them falling apart. It seems like they'd have to be really dry to do that!
That is so cute! It looks like the same bear pan Teresa used to make my baby shower cake. It turned out so cute!!
I love them! Yup, I'm definitely going to make myself a pair!
Even better up close. I love the Mickey heads!
I need potty training pixie dust! We started yesterday going cold-turkey on the diapers (except for naps and bedtime). We have had NO successes! She has pooped in her pants twice and peeped at least 8 times in her pants. Please don't tell me she is not old enough - she is 2 3/4!
This is just so frustrating for me. I am trying to keep my cool but I am tired of washing out panties all day. I am trying to have her sit on the potty every 30 minutes (the timer is set) but that is not working either. She just goes a few mintues after we get up.

for you and some

for you both.
I'm not sure how much I'll get on today - we leave for WDW in the morning!! Whoohoo!! Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for all of the inspiration, encouragement and friendship along the way! Thanks for talking me through the basics of sewing, appliqueing and teaching me that the seam ripper is my friend!! If it weren't for the Dis this vacation would be a whole lot different and I am sooo happy I found you all! Thanks everyone, you guys are awesome!
You're pretty awesome yourself, Leslie. Have a great vacation!!!
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS!!!! It's SOOOOOOOO cute!!!
I need to join the weight watching party. I have never had a problem with my weight, but at my last doctor's appointment I realized I have gained 10 pounds in a year! I need to lose at least five so I can get back into my summer shorts again. I think I am going to try to cut out junk and alcohol first. I am not a big drinker, but we have been hanging with a couple and I have been having a few drinks each night we go out.
I suppose we could let you join. But, we did just see the pictures of you looking great. You are thinner than I will ever dream of being!!
