I haven't posted in forever. Been super busy. Here are a few pictures I meant to post a looong time ago from our Christmas trip. :santa:

I embellished the jumper my little one is wearing w/ those Mickey and Minnie patches and Mickey buttons. I bought the dress on eBay. I noticed she pushed her candy cane socks down. I made the patchwork skirt and the pillowcase dress. The blue skirt was made by one of the mom's from this thread (well, the old thread actually).

:scared1: Oh my goodness.....42 custom outfits!!! That is a LOT!!! I have trouble making just a couple. Hahaha. Hey your long trip sounds like a blast though!!! 14 Days in Disneyland plus Hawaii, I am jealous!!!! :goodvibes How fun!!!!!

hahaha I really don't think I'll get that many done lol - Maybe a couple and the rest of the days will be a tshirt and pants/shorts. Wouldn't 42 outfits be fantastic though - but then what would I do with them after - my child barely wears clothes as it is (she like the au naturel look :rolleyes1 )

That is really cute, and I love the fabric combination. I bought that pattern last week but just haven't found the right fabric for it yet. Was it fairly easy to make?

I have made the YCMT.com A-line dress from CarlaC and YES it is easy.

Now that I think about it, I used CarlaC's patterns for 4 out of 5 customs for our trip last week - 2 peasant tops, one strip work jumper and this a-line. All the patterns were easy to follow and the outfits came out fairly close to size.

I don't want to do an initial since the younger one will get the hand me downs. I thought about putting sparkles on the little mermaid dress, maybe the word Sparkle. What do you all think?

Ok, I'm needing ideas. SOmething is missing from these dresses, any ideas? There is actually 2 of each.

I found some pics of some simple appliques I did when Louie was a baby. Here is a Nemo set:

I don't actually have a pic of him in that set, but here a couple more just to show of my adorable little cueball!

They were really easy to do - I just ironed heat n bond lite on the back of a scrap of the character fabric, cut out a square around the character, ironed it onto the background scrap, and ironed heat n bond lite to the back of that. Then I used my clear quilters ruler to mark the lines for the second square (usually 1/4" from the edges of the first square), cut along the lines, and fused the layered square to the top. This is before I knew how to satin stitch on knits, so I just zig-zagged - fast and cute! Just make sure you use a ball point needle!

Wow - those are beautiful!!! You've got great taste!

Awwwww - thank you so much! That makes me so happy!

This is the exact reason I haven't done my pillowcase dresses yet either. I am soooo afraid that I will have to cut off too much of the face for the bodice.Woohoo on a future trip. I am hoping for 2009 too!

I kind of liked the idea of cutting a lot of the face off. It gives it a more edgy look (or something :rotfl: ) This is the large Cinderella from the Wal-Mart pillowcase. The other side of the pillowcase did have 3 smaller princesses.

I mainly wanted to get lips and eyes in and have her still be recognizable as Cinderella.

These are sooo cute! And I love how they look with just a regular zig-zag stitch. What pattern are the pants? These would make cute baby gifts! And Louis is soooooo cute!

I Love that idea of the middle part of the head. you know its her, and it looks great!

Here's my Ariel outfit. I didn't make the pants, they are from the Disney Store but I loved that they matched everything perfect.

Hopefully this will work, I can't usually get pictures to post from the mac.

DSCF0980-1.jpg

Now if I could only get my All in One printer and the mac to talk to each other I could post pictures of the Valentine's peasant top and Mardi Gras top I made DD. They aren't speaking to each other so I have to figure out why...

Okay, here are a few pictures from our September trip. I don't remember if I already posted these on the old thread or not.

Can you tell the girls are Minnie Pirate Princesses?

recognize the cool pink & black Mickey fabric? I made these skirts and I glued the rhinestones on the tops.
I have like 8 more outfits but I don't want to be a board hog!

Yes, they are! Since you asked, here is a shameless post of the babies! Enjoy!

Oh my goodness!! THey are incredibly cute!! I want to hug one right now!!!

Hmmm - in Joann's i saw an iron on patch of Ariel and also a nemo one - you could iron those on the shirts - what about some rick rack around the middle or bottom of the skirts??? They are so cute -where did you find the nemo fabric?????

Board hog? What is that? :confused3 please do post more! Your outfits look great!

Your babies are killing me! I want a golden retriever pup so bad! We're just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so the kids can play outside with it. I'm in love with little pink ric-rac! Too bad I live soooooo far away! I'd be coming to get her! :rotfl:

Okay, i said I would stop.... why won't my kids keep their shoes on??
disney2007774.jpg

I made the older DD's skirt and DS's shorts & embroidered his shirt. DD2's dress was made by a sweet lady on eBay.

The girls dresses were made by a lady on ebay (before I found this board). They have Mickey heads appliqued on them with their names embroidered. I did make all my DD2's bows though.

Well, I'm almost done with the shirt. I have to finish the areas where I ran the elastic and hem it. I'm not too sure what I think of it. I think the color is too pale for me. I'm proud of myself for getting this far on it and not giving up. It will be the first time I have ever sewn anything totally without assistance. I did ask my husband to verify I was laying the material out right before I cut it out but that was it. He is the sewer in the house.

I'm loving all the kids outfits. They are so adorable. I wish that my girls were still little so I could CASE or CAB something. Someday maybe I'll have grandkids that I can sew for. My mom made a lot of things for my girls when they were growing up so they did get a lot of cool custom outfits.

I finished a couple things this weekend.

Here is Blue Belle with little chip.

Finally I cannot remember if I posted the improved Nemo Dresses. These were the first thing I ever made. I had to adjust the babes because it was too long.

I cannot wait until my girls can see all this! It is killing me!!!!

Oh man, I thought I was going crazy trying to find the old thread. I'm so glad I found this one but with over 120 pages, I'm going to have to accept that I'll never get caught up. Hopefully people will remember me since I feel I was gone so long! I needed to get back here because it's official - we're going to Disneyland in May. We don't have the specific dates or reservations yet but both sisters & brothers-in-law plus a few of their adult kids have committed to the trip. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to make all new outfits for Zoe or just have her wear the ones she has. So far she hasn't been to Disney in any of them but it's so tempting to make all new. I guess a lot will depend on how much time I find to sew for her.
Lisa, Oh thank goodness you found us again....I was worried about you! Yaaaa :cool1: on your Disney trip! Sounds wonderful! I will take all old cast offs if you don't wear them...hahahaha:rotfl:

************************************************
Hey this is the 2000th post of our newly revised thread...we'll be at 10,000 in no time and have to start over. Or is it 10k pages???

Yes, they are! Since you asked, here is a shameless post of the babies! Enjoy!

skipperpups5wks.jpg
Oh goodness...could they be any cuter :cutie: Look how fluffy they are....I see you remembered to make their collars bigger! I say this cause my sister is a vet in Colorado and she told me once that these people turned their baby horses out to pasture with a halter on (goes on their head) all summer. Well they had to cut the thing off its head at then end of the summer since it grew....I mean duhhh :confused3

UOTE=UMTerp;22965382]OK, Here is my first attempt at posting photos on the DIS and my first contribution to the DISboutique!

Backstory - DD9 wanted to learn how to sew for Girl Scouts so I figured it was time to teach her!

Here are her PJ pants that she made herself (her first project)! She picked the fabric herself.

Wow thats a lot of sewing....but your DD's PJ pants came out great and I love all the AGD outfits!:thumbsup2
By the way, my older brother and sister went to U of M too!!!! :cool1:

Awwww they are cute! I put a little bling on my VD (that would be Valentine's Day for all you people wondering..:rotfl: around in the gutter) outfits for my girls. I will post it again. It was a nice easy no sew option...

I couldn't bear to cut the face either so I ended up with gigantic princess' on the peasant tops I made...hahaha:rotfl: Wahoooo on your trip! :cool1: Are you a tour guide miker????

I don't think they are adding a cleaning fee on since we are staying a week. These houses have a private pool and game room too. We are so exctied!! Heather's house is right across the street from our house. It is going to be fun!
Here's what our houses look like:
http://dolphinvillaflorida.com/

If anyone ever does do the rental house thing, make sure you email them and ask for a lower price, everyone I emailed for our houses this year came down quite a bit from the prices they actually had listed!

I tell you what...with a recession on the horizon, they may really have to lower the prices. Thanks for this wonderful tip! And Disney has really priced themselves out of my league. Seriously, who can afford to stay at the deluxe resorts??? Well perhaps half of you all reading this:rotfl2: ...but my DH and I both work and we don't splurge on much we can't afford it. Who can??? OK I think I have already complained this complaint so I'm getting off my soapbox now  .
