This is the second thing i have been working on, and I need some help...I have no idea what I did wrong..I have looked through the pattern many times, and still can't figure out what I did wrong. It is the Easy Fit pants pattern from YMCT by Sewboutique for me and Dolly....yes, it was easy to sew, but it doesn't look right or fit right..and I haven't even sewed the casing for the elastic yet..and the shorts sit way, way below the waist..so with the casing..it is definitely not wearable. It is a pair of shorts for my ds.
I know this look funny and everyone is probably having a good laugh!

Jenny, that shirt is cute! I'm scared to try one of those, I don't know why!

As for the pants, I don't have that pattern, but it looks like you sewed the pieces together wrong. I'm having a hard time trying find the words to explain, maybe someone else can help more. I did the exact same thing with my first pair of pants, so don't feel bad!

It looks like you sewed the legs together instead of the crotch. The curved part is the crotch of the shorts, adn the straight part is the legs.

it's hard to explain, but you definitely sewed them together wrong. It's easily fixed with some quality seam-ripper time.

This is what I have been working on..I finished the Mickey Mouse shirt for my ds last night...did buttonholes for the first time, and wasn't as bad as I had initially dread. Only problem is I put the hole on the wrong side of the shirt...

Ditto. I think you sewed the legs together instead of the crotch. Since that pants pattern has very few seams, it should be pretty simple to fix.

I might make some of those mickey head animal kingdom shirts. I don't know yet what I want to make for epcot. I love castlecreations mickeyfied sailor outfit! Now if she just had a cruise to go on!

Could you post a picture of you wearing the Mary Janes?

I'm sure they look much cuter on Tifani! But here are the Mary Jane crocs (and probably some of my boys' dirty socks and crocs as well it looks like)--aaah to be swinging on the beach at the Poly again:goodvibes ...) I am also wearing them in the family photo with Mickey I posted.

Anyway, here's what I got today at Walmart - HM flannel for the girls some pj pants, Pooh, Ariel and whales (just because they were on sale) and apples for a Snow White custom.

The shirt looks fantastic!!! Great job on that! No one will notice the buttonholes!

Thanks! Those look really cute!! I'm seriously considering a purchase! Do they fit tighter than regular Crocs? Now to chose a color.....

Deann~ Was the HM fabric on clearance too? It was not yet here but I guess I will keep checking back. We were out of the Ariel I guess cause I sure did not see it. :( I almost bought the whales but I just could not decide what I was going to do with it. I am already wishing I would have picked it up just in case lol. I like the pooh fabrics with those others! I saw them as well. I have a HUGE amount of that pooh fabric because I used it to make a curtain to cover our sliding glass door and I took it with us when we moved. DH thought I was insane but that is a lot of fabric that I could repurpose.

I got 3 of these panels though they were 3.00 a panel.

One I am going to make a quilt for my DD 2 to take home when she goes. (She loves Ariel) I am also thinking of using it to make her a pillowcase dress. Not sure if it is going to work but will see.

OOOH! Very pretty!!! I love the fabrics you chose for the Marie!! That is going to be adorable!!! I like the Pooh choices too!

My girls beg me for that Hannah Montanna fabric everytime we see it! We are going to the movie next week, and they are SOOOOO excited!!!!

Almost forgot, what have you got up your sleeve for Snow White? I can't wait to see what you've come up with!

Been there done that. I'm not laughing at you. I am glad that I'm not the only one that did that the first time out.

They definitely do, but my feet are wide and they are still not too tight.

I think it is so nice of you to make her something to take when she goes. You are such a fantastic foster mother, and I've known quite a few! (most were NOT so fantastic unfortunately!) You do a wonderful thing giving your heart to these kids.

No, HM wasn't on clearance, but they've been wanting it and I decided to just go for it. We're not really Pooh fans, but I thought it would be cute for something. I have no idea what I'm going to do with that whale fabric, but I've seen so many cute outfits that I thought I needed it!

I wish I'd found some of those Ariel panels, but oh well. I'm not too worried about it, I bought the pillowcase.

I think those will be good for Marie too, I had those dots in mind when I bought the fabric.

I have no ideas for SW, but I've always liked the idea of using apples for her.

Ok, I know that I can sew. Here is the proof. I made this when I was 13 or 14. There was a belt and a pair of pants that matched. My girls (now 22 & 19) have worn the shirt at some point because it was back in style again. I still have the belt somewhere but the pants are long gone.
