Here is what I have been working on the past few days...
After I took the pic, I fixed the sash so it is shorter and hangs better.
I made this from the boys old sheets. I put myself on a fabric budget so I had to make do

The Buzz fabric was the flat sheet, and the blue/turquoise fabric is the fitted sheet. I had some of the green on hand.
Next up with this sheet set is an appliqued jeans set for my 2.5 yo ds.
These next pics are for flea, and whomever else wants to take interest
This is the custom diaper I just got in the mail!
betcha can't tell which team we root for!
That Buzz outfit is TOOO cute!!!! And, the diaper cover, adorable!!!
Hee, the baby talked to me. I once asked our ped why Megan was making all those strange noises and he said, that's baby talk, completely normal. I had never heard it before and thought something was wrong with her. I am sure he thought I was a complete nutcase.
I will laugh WITH you, along with Heather! At least you weren't scared of the baby!
Lydia hates hair in her face too, so she is always asking me to cut her bangs. I've threatened her to NEVER try to do it herself though! I hope she listens!
I am always begging Arminda to let me cut her bangs, I love the way they frame her face. She always wants to grow them out and I'm always trying to get her to let me cut them!
Arminda? Talkative?

Lydia was a freakishly smart baby!!
I love your new avatar and siggy pictures!! Where did you find the little Belle in your siggy?
Yeah, really, Armida talks a lot! I'm suprised you never noticed.

(The ENTIRE trip home from Florida!!! NINETEEN HOURS STRAIGHT!!!!)
It was the site that Tinka_Belle posted earlier. Let me see...
Here it is:

I resized it though, so it wouldn't make my siggy too big.
I sooo know how you feel. There are days when I think I'm going to go insane from listening to 4 yr old banter. She does have a great imagination though...if only I could get her to stop repeating herself constantly.
Lydia repeats herself constantly! Even when I respond to her. If I don't respond with the exact right response, she just says it over and over and over and over again!
OK I am done. I should have taken my time and gone slower but I learned a LOT about how to applique and that was my major reason behind doing something so big for the first time.

I know my speed now. My last thing I did was the red around Bob and I think it is much better than the rest. I have to go at snail speed and I see that now lol.
Larry
From the front wish I could show you guys my model she is a cutie but can't do it.
From behind.
I do not think I am going to add any rick rack or anything to make it "girly". I really like it on her like this with just a ponytail ... I will make her a big bow and get a red shirt to go under probably. Now do you guys think it needs something more? I just cannot decide if it is done done kwim?
FANTASTIC!!!! These look adorable!!!! I would say you are done!!! Great job!
I also got this in the mail the other day! I loved glorib's Marie outfit so much, I went on the hunt for fabric. I got this on voldemort and it came from Malaysia. I can't wait to make dd2's outfit!
SO CUTE Deann!!! I love it!!! I still need to make Lydia's outfit with the fabric we got. She really wants the same outfit Glorib made, so I think I will do that (but without the applique).
Gosh, thanks!

It was a bit chilly, in the 50's and low 60's. Of course, coming from the teens, it felt like summer!

We got some major rain on our last day. I think the kids liked the rainy day the best...go figure! We all looked like drowned rats, but, we were happy drowned rats!
I would like to see the drowned rats pictures!
Well I was making a dress for myself - just a basic shirred one now I know how and it is just so hot here atm - but 5 rows in and i'm out of shirring elastic

- I was sure I had more but alas it has been lost in my neverending notion dungeon. Obviously I got annoyed when my machine wouldn't play nice and threw it somewhere in a tanty
Oh, it is very warm here today too! A whole whopping 27 degrees!!! BUT, that's about 32 degrees warmer than it was the other day, so it feels like a heat wave!!

The windchill was 20 below the other day too! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Notion dungeon!!! FUNNY!
So more questions from the newbie ....
Do your children wear the outfits all day in the parks?? or is it normally for special stuff (character meals etc).
What shoes do they wear so they fit in with the outfit but are still comfortable enough for all that walking??
My girls would wear their princess dresses all day in the park, so I'm planning on them wearing the customs I make all day. They wear sandals or
crocs with everything! For BBB though, Arminda has some glass slipper looking shoes she wants to wear.
Okay, I just got back from the World last night and was all ready to do some catching up and it was gone! So I found you all again right away, and it looks like I still have plenty of catching up, but I feel a bit weird that I missed so much! Maybe when I get caught up I'll know more of what's going on, or maybe not

So I can't wait to post some photos! I'm currently trying to upload 700 photos from my camera and I need to order my photopass CD. I have 164 photos on there. I think I may have to do a mini TR on the TR board just so I can tell you all about my trip and share a ton of photos! My disboutiquer friends will probably be the only ones who show up to read it since this is usually the only place I hang out. We had a great trip, Lily got tons of attention in her customs. I'll probably be caught up on this thread (except for the missing week! I feel like I have amnesia or something) by the time all of my photos upload and I get some into photobucket.
I'm glad you are back! And, I'm glad you found us!!!!! They promised us that the old thread would at least be viewable after 24 hours, but we are pushing 48 hours now, and it's still gone!
I'm so excited, my first outfit to share on the new thread!! After much debating, i finally decided on my first ever twirl skirt for dinner at The Crystal Palcace! I love the way it turned out! I'll be making more of this type of skirt!! It is made from a storybook kit from Joann's.
That looks great Leslie!!! I like that!
She is going to be the one that rips my heart out when she goes, well not just me my hubby and my kiddos as well. We are just trying to focus on she and her brother and the hear and now. And how that if and when she goes she will be going home to grandma who loves her dearly.
How lucky she is to have you!
I am so excited!! I just got this fabric in the mail today from "the site that shall not be named!". I paid way too much for it, but I've tried to get it for some months. Kirsta has had 3 variations of the Blue cinderella fabric for her special dress with Cinderella and this is new and different!!
That is GORGEOUS fabric!!!!
