I just discovered hot pink and blue SILLY PUTTY on my carpet in the basement toy room!!! Do any of you know how to remove this??? UGGGGGG!!!
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Hey Girls-

I have not checked out the new thread because I have been sewing like the wind for our trip. We leave Feb 29th. I still have a lot to do but I thought I would show everyone what I have been working on.

Here you go . . . oh and I have managed to keep the trip a surprise!!!

These I re-did. They are one of the first things I every made. The babes dress was too long so I shortened it. The girls will be wearing these to Epcot and the Coral Reef.

These are for the Crystal Palace. The backs are really cute.

This skirt is for the Grand Adventure Pirate Cruise. DD will wear it with black Chucks and Mickey red and white pirate ears. I think I will just do a plain tank.

This is a random Vday skirt.

This is for the Wonderland Tea Party. The pink fabric has Alice, the Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit on it.

Here are the girls skirts for Fantasmic.

This is for Chef Mickey's. The babies is going to be a little different.

This is DD's Snow White cocktail skirt. I am going to do an Apple applique shirt.

This was a request from DD. I am bringing it just in case.

Here is the Belle cocktail skirt. DD is wearing this with a hot fix Belle shirt that should be here any day!!!

Here is DD's Valentine's Day peasant top. It was my first attempt at shirring! I am going to make her some ruffle jeans to go with it, but she couldn't wait to wear the top to school. I had intended to make the sleeves long but she wanted them short. Then she decided that's it's way too cold for shorter sleeves and had to wear a tee under it.

I lost this quote before- Love the hearts- good job on the shirring- that is still on my list of- learn how to do that, along with sleeves & zippers....

Oh wow, what an amazing person you are and what a wonderfol job you have!!! I bet these people just adore you!!! You are probably just like family to them!!!

They do like me to come over most days- unless I have to remind them to clean their room or do something they don't want to do. I work with some ladies who live together and someone used someone elses towel and there was a confrontation and some fisticuffs ensued. So we have to problem solve those types of things and work through them. There is also a lady who likes to leave her laundry in the washer/dryer and it drives one of her roommates CRAZY!! But it's a balance of fun and not so fun but most days are more fun. I have really good relationships with all the families. I know their kids/siblings almost as well as they do-

YIKES! I can't help you, but I wanted to sympathize! Have you tried googling "silly putty on carpet"?

How cool that the trip is a surprise!! They're going to be so excited! All of the outfits are great, but these are my favorites- especially the "cocktail skirts"!

I still need to find tee shirts. It is a bit cold in our neck of the woods so they have not come out in stores yet. I keep checking ON, Target and Walmart with no luck. It is going to suck when I am appliqueing 12 tee shirts three days before we leave!

I have to say the cocktail length skirts are pretty cute. I think they are very park friendly. Of course we are bringing the gowns. I know that we are bringing Blue Cinderella, Pink Cinderella and Yellow Belle. The baby should be able to get a fancy gown. I just need to find the little ones.

DD wants to wear the Pink Cinderella gown to the BBB and the Blue Cinderella to the castle. Yellow Belle is for the Princess lunch in Epcot. Then she can dance with the Beast.

This happened to us with regular silly putty. I googled silly putty or whoever makes it and they will tell you what to do. I think it says to scape all the extra off w/ a knife and then maybe use WD40 to try and get it off, but I'd look it up to be sure.
We sold that house and had to put that stain in the disclaimer b/c we never got it out.
In our new house Silly Putty is NOT allowed.
Good luck getting it out.

Look what I woke up to this morning- it's a 4ft snow drift, right in front of my garage door!!! I put a little gingerbread man on top of the drift, so you can see how high it is!

On a high note, it's a SNOW DAY!!!

Brian ran to Meijer and came back saying that NO ONE should go out there! The roads are ice! He almsot slid into 131!

I always use patterns. I am going to make the t-shirt nightgown but I am askeered. I don't have a pattern to make the skirt portion. I held the flannel up to DD and cut a little place in it so I would know how long to make it. Now I will use my rotary cutter to cut it straight. But I don't know how full it should be.

I just wanted to say WELCOME to all of the newbies!!!!! This thread has really grown in the past week! WOW! Glad to have all of you finally join us! Okay, I hope I didn't miss anyone, but this thread is FLYING and I just can't keep up! My DD1 has been under the weather and I haven't figured out why! We were on our way to my brother's house Sat night and she puked all over the place! EWWWWWWW! Luckily she did it as we were arriving, so I was able to give her a bath and wash the carseat pads! Just keep us in your thoughts and prayers and hopefully she will be feeling better soon! And then maybe I can keep up with you guys and have some things to show off myself!

The windchilll is -11 but the actual temperature is balmy 9 degrees! You should come here and enjoy the heat wave!

My mom got me a fiskars rotary cutter on black friday - I finally got to open it and fresh out of the package, it has a dull spot!
The ONLY thing it cut before fabric was me.

here's a tip for you:
When trying out a new rotary cutter with a "trigger," try not to practice when Law and Order is just coming on and people are getting shot on tv.
I looked up to see who got shot, depressed the trigger and ended up with a nice gash in my thumb.
So if anyone noticed any red in their fabric squares from me, I SWEAR the Minnie dot bled!

Lydia got silly putty on a white dress, and I did the WD 40 thing, and it came out after a few applications! I found that on the website too. There is a big list of "how to remove" directions!
"Scrape off any excess Silly Putty with a butter knife.
Spray with WD-40 and let sit for about 10 minutes.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 as necessary.
Blot with rubbing alcohol until stain is removed."
