Not the best pic, But the first one I found LOL This is from last year CNY at Epcot

She is a doll and her silks are beautiful!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to my dh!!!!

I have been cleaning out my house, and craft area. I listed a BUNCH and I Mean like 19 auctions on ebay. He had shipped out about half of those for me. WELL.....instead of using the paypal print shipping label from work, since then our printer wasn't working right. He DID NOT!!! The man bought STAMPS.. yes I said STAMPS~! and put stamps on ALL the packages.

Needless to say, since he did not weigh these and just guessed and loaded them up with lovely (Disney) stamps, 6 packages were RETURNED to me today! I have been warding off questions "where is my stuff" and I kept asking for the shipping recipt and he couldn't find them. Well no wonder why!

SOOOO Now, after much wasted time, and MUCH wasted stamps. I have to double up on shipping costs because my husband didn't do it right the first time! We got the printer working the other day, so I can print my labels thankfully!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo UPSET with him! His response??
"oooh, I thought it would be easier, and I just guessed on the weight, I was wrong" DURRRR

Vent over!

Don't you just love "man logic" sometimes!

You're right! I'd just like to point out that Teresa is the hardest working person on the Disboutique thread! She is putting all of the pictures that are posted on the photobucket site (which involves saving them to her computer, then uploading them to photobucket, then recategorizing them), keeping up with the bookmarks, and trying to recover the links from our old thread to put on a new site. These are for you, Teresa:
:worship: :worship: :worship:

Here, here....all hail Teresa!!!!!

thanks everyone, you guys are soo caring and sweet! I just wanted to say thank you to whomever suggested this pattern to me, was it you revrob? I am sorry I can't remember, but I can't go back and look it up!:headache: Anyway, I love how this skirt looks, but it was SO HARD to put together and I still don't know if I did it exactly right, anyway here it is in all its glory!:rotfl:

And just because I like how she chose to "pose"

And this is just because she is too darn cute:
th_DSCF20412.jpg

What some dolls you have!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SKIRT!!!!! I must know what pattern you used! I don't know if my sewing skills are ready for this but I am gonna have to try. I am envisioning my princess material mixed with some solid colors! GREAT JOB!!!!!!

Okay, I finally got some photos uploaded. Here are a couple of my photos from Hannah Montana 3-D concert movie.

Jayden all dressed up and ready to go (lipgloss and all):

Looks like Hanna Montana has got some competition with those girls!!! Great pics!

I'm there! :-) As nice as it is to stay on the DIS, I have to say it's impossible for me to stay up with this thread. That means I probably miss questions I could answer and/or comments made to me. I love the idea of having a board where each question can have its own thread so it's less likely to be missed. Also, as much as I enjoy the general chatting, it's hard to keep track of things over the course of 10s and even hundreds of pages when the thread moves so fast.

WOO HOO! See you there!

Here's my current project. I've wanted to do a Tink set for awhile and finally had a chance.

Gorgeous! As always! I LOVE the button. I'm trying to figure out how you did that. Very cool!

I was just about the reply to some threads when I heard Boom Boom Boom on the stairs. Heidi & Aleah thought it would be a good idea to ride down the stairs in a Rubbermaid bin. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Aleah pushed Heidi down first. There were quite a few tears but all is well. Whew! Back to the thread....

I'm glad you like my siggy! :thumbsup2 Teresa is the one that's married to the love of her life, I'm just stuck with the Disney-hater! :lmao: I'm KIDDING!!! I better love him since we've been together for almost 18 years!!

Sorry that I got you and Teresa mixed up. :headache:

Since it's kinda a slow night, here are the rest of the customs for our trip!

Dinner sets -

So, that's it! I'm going to go pack now!

Love them all, but this is my favorite. Have a fabulous time!

The clothes are no longer a secret. I just told DD they were for Spring. She has had a pretty big growth spurt and a lot need to be adjusted!!!!! Here come more ruffles!

Anyway, here is her Tink set. I am getting bows done for the outfit. They are the same style as Leslies. Also I am getting a really cool bracelet from pbjboutique.

This was an outfit I posted before we closed down..

I totally CASEd this from a :wizard: seller...LOL

Do you have a pattern that you are willing to share just for the jumper itself? DD8 wants me to do one like that with HM fabric I just got. Even if you have a website to direct me to that would be great!

Okay, I finally finished my "Minnie Head" outfit :rotfl: I ended up doing the bodice twice. My first one, I lined with white then heat'n'bonded again to the floral and started appliqueing it with regular thread :scared1: So I started over. It had too many layers and was too stiff so I just used white for my background fabric on the front of the bodice. The back and the lining of the front are still the floral. Then I caved and bought some purple embroidery thread. I always use embroidery thread on my appliques but for some reason this time I tried regular first. All I can say is the thread made a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!! It went from crapplique to applique! So I am much happier with it now! I still have to put buttons on it. I found some perfect ones today at Joanns and by the time I got to the checkout, Lily had tossed them out of the cart. Of course they were the last package of those buttons :headache: Lily refuses to try it on until I get rid of the "sharps" (pins) :rotfl: I wish it was fuller, but I ran out of fabric.

th_IMG_0924_edited-1.jpg

Here is a closeup of the applique. I did all the purple outlines (except the middle of the eyes). It was good practice! Especially on the tapering of the lines, although it looks like she has too much mascara on! I also used a purple fabric marker to change the bow from pink to purple.

th_IMG_0925_edited-1.jpg

And now A GIVEAWAY!!!

I have a few of the Minnie Head panels to give away. I have one with the pink background and three with the purple background to give away, so for the first 4 people to PM me and correctly guess the names of my 4 kids (spelling doesn't count) I will mail you a Minnie Head panel. They are a great size for a toss pillow.

th_IMG_0928_edited-1.jpg

This is awesome! You did a fantastic job on this applique -- adorable!!! More pixie dust -- gotta love it!

OMGoodness Lacy, Katie is so adorable in your siggy pic!!! Glad she liked preschool![/QUOTE]

Thank you :) That is one of my favorite pictures of her. We love her hair like that, but she can only wear it like down the day she has a bath. I totally understand why AA moms keep their little girl’s hair in braids. It is soooo hard to care for. FWIW that is the photo I submitted to Lives most beautiful baby search. Think it's a winner?

Katie is so cute! I can't wait to see her Minnie Dot dress! I want to make one for DD2 so I need ideas!

I am making the YCMT apron dress without the apron and embroidering Minnie on the top. I hope it turns out as cute as I imagine it.

Well, I got my final set of bows for our trip in the mail! I'm ready to start packing!! I love this set! I asked her to match the headband, and they match perfectly. Sooo cute!

They aren't the best pictures of the bows, if anyone wants better ones, I can take a few. I'm going to take pictures of our cruise customs and post them tonight! Then start packing!!

OMGoodness!!! You are going to have the nest dressed kids in the parks and on the ship. I will be surprised if you can walk 2 feet without being stopped. All of your outfits are beautiful. Have a wonderful vacation.

Heather- it is soooo hard to let them go. I was secretly hoping Katie would not stay :rolleyes1 The only reason I tried is because all of the parents are required to teach or co-teach a class at our home school group each session. Last session I was in the nursery with 12 babies (and 8 adults) where Katie was with me. That was way to many babies for me, so I volunteered to teach a cake decorating class. I thought very few of the kids would be interested but as it turns out they were VERY interested and I have 13 kids. Long story short... Katie would have been very bored in cake decorating. :)

I also didn’t want to leave Justin when I took him to kindergarten either. On the way into the building I said "are you sure you want to do this? I could take you home". Of course he stayed.

This is our first year homeschooling and I must say I really like having my kids home with me... most of the time.

Hi...drop me a pm, and I will look for the pattern for the bodice for you. I don't want to lose your message in the masses...

Love them all!!!!!!!! Now I can't wait to see pics of them wearing all their stuff while they are having some Disney fun!! I want to see pics of you as well!

I have to say...you know I think your applique work is amazing, but your ability to mix colors is out of this world. You always create the most unique, beautiful combinations..I'm in awe..:worship:

Wow, thank you! I love fabric (if you hadn't guessed LOL) and especially when I can put together prints that aren't part of the same collection.

Gorgeous! As always! I LOVE the button. I'm trying to figure out how you did that. Very cool!

Thank you! The buttons are done with loops. The straps are normal with buttons sewn to them. Instead of buttonholes, though, I make loops of thin tubes of fabric and sew them into the seam between the bodice front and the lining. I really like doing the loops because I'm always nervous about making buttonholes in a garment that is 99% done. I just know I'll screw it up and have to do the bodice totally over.

BTW - I love to do covered buttons so they match the outfit perfectly. It can also save money because buttons can add a lot to the cost of some garments.

Makes sense! I love that look. I"m gonnna need to try it sometime. I like using covered buttons, too. Very tailored looking in my opinion.

I love this set and the skirt on this is beautiful! I

I have a question for you....when you make your strips for the skirt is the top of your strips narrower than the bottom? If so what measurements do you use? TIA

so the little miss would let me take her picture in her skirt. BUT only with her favorite man besides her father and iwth her guitar! haha

She is adorable in that skirt! And, I love Elvis too!

She is beautiful! Is that Tink one of the pillowcases? Great job!

now that sounds like fun if it worked!!!

Lori

When we had the snow a few weeks ago, we used a rubbermaid box for a sled. It was okay but it could have easily toppled over. We found the best thing to use was the lid to the box put inside a garbage bag! Worked really good if you don't have sleds!

Just wanted to say if any of you are bored and want to......

Over on the photography board, I entered Parker's pic in one of the contests. If you want and think that she has the best "relax your on vacation" pic, give her a vote. Thanks. There are some really cute pics over there too!

She is in Group 3 of 4.

Yes it is the Tinkerbell Pillowcase from Kmart. I was going to do a full applique but had some other sewing issues pop up today. I had to concede. I really love the way it turned out and would not change a thing. :)

Thanks!!!:cloud9:
