FUNNY!:lmao:

I went to Joann's to buy buttons for DH's shirt (which I will post soon)
AND...........drum roll please.......

I bought the fabric for the Cinderella dress!!!
Now, I dont know if it will be done in time for our trip, but I was thinking if I make it in the bigger size she should be able to wear it for Halloween.

Okay, I dont celebrate Halloween- but really, there'll surely be some sort of dress up event at our church.

Now- I already happen to have this rainbow sheer fabric I was thinking of using for the peplum- and then the sheer blue for the collar and sleeves- Opinions please? I can post pics if that will help..

Oh- HeatherSue and TeresaJoy- I LOVE those wedding pictures!! What a sweetheart for trying to "freeze" in that awful position to please the MIL. HUGS!!! to both of them!!

WARNING- CLEAN YOUR MACHINE!!!!!!
So last night I finished up the hems on the shirt and then cut out bodice and sleeves for the Minnie Dot fabric (I know its gonna come out cute!) and went to sew- and my machine started doing awful things and the bobbin wasn't spinning- but I was getting blue dust on my minnie dot fabric- from the blue shirt thread.
Well-45 minutes later I got everything apart and found this very tight little ball of lint inside- and TA DAAA!!!! It fixed everything.
I have owned this a year and never taken it apart- I should have after the king size quilt I did, but really what I think got it was the sparkly butterfly fabric I did the portrait peasant dress with.

I am off to eat a cheeseburger and enjoy this rare, sunny day in Conneticut.

HAPPY HOLIDAY!!:santa: Oh, sorry, wrong holiday!

Oh, and I gotta lotta:laundy: this to do today too...

I really need to start packing!

*Sigh* I really think we need to find a way to resolve this and quickly. If we don't , I'm afraid there may not be a DISBOUTIQUE thread anymore.
I agree with you!!! Those who have decided to be done with the thread could you please take the rest of the argument to PM's?? I like this thread. It has gotten me to start sewing again.

LOL!!!!!:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

A new trend!! We should all buy different ear hats on our vacays and post pics like this- if I remember Im totally gonna do it!!

I agree. I'm sorry to see everything come to this, I'm sorry that this is happening.

I hope that all the pictures aren't deleted but we now run that risk since the password is out there now for everyone to see.

Is it possible to just give it to the people who have requested it? Then there would be less people who have it.

I sincerely hope that we can get passed this as a group.

For those thinking about unsubbing, please stick around this can't go on forever, it will pass and the group will go back to normal.

I just found a quick and easy solution. In my case anyway. I hope it to be temporary at any rate. Go to USERCP. At the far bottom, left hand page is a link to block user. Whoever, at that time is getting to you, put in thier username and the posts will not show up on the board. When we are all back into a happy place, you can unblock. :cheer2:

Ooh, I'm one up on you :laundy: is done, just the ironing left  .

I've just had my machine serviced and the guy said to me 'boy you do some sewing' and so I asked how he could tell - the reply...... the birds nest worth of fluff he pulled out of it :rolleyes1 . No one told me I had to clean the bits I couldn't see as well as the ones I could!!!

Almost forgot - post some pictures and lets see what you had in mind!

I can't believe what's happened on here these last few days. We started with the very moving posts about the friendships we've developed (I think by t-beri) and then it went completely, horribly in the other direction. I know we can move past this and I hope everyone stays with us Disboutiquers.

Heather & Teresa ~ THANK YOU so much for keeping the Photobucket account up. I've used it many times and am so sorry that it's become such a headache. You two are the best!

Thanks for the instructions!!

Hi Heather and Teresa,

I wanted to say Thank you again. You have both been so generous with your time and your enthusiam to keep the Disboutique thread going. Please don't let this past weekends events discourage your participation in the Disboards Families thread.

Sewing has become a dying art, and because of this thread I have seen many woman find the enthusiam to learn to sew, and make wonderful creations that their children, and their grandchildren will be proud to wear.

Has anyone but me noticed that the pictures of the kids covered in marker are all BOYS!!!!! As the mother of a boy that markered the wall the day after it was painted and the grandmother of Russell(disneylovinfamily) I'd say there must be something with these guys and their need to mark their turf!

Also please stop making me feel sad that I decided to join instead of lurking. I LOVE looking at all of your beautiful children in their outfits. The most I ever sewed for my kids was Halloween outfits. I wish I had half the talent all of you have. And to toot my own horn, I bought disneylovinfamily her sewing machine and I can't be any prouder of her if she were my own daughter. She has come so far and some credit has to go to all of you for encouraging her. THANKS!

The mother of the groom was in charge and made the wedding all about her and her son. It was as if they were the ones getting married. She even sang a song during the ceremony about how he's getting married, but he still belongs to her. CREEPY!! She practically pushed the bride and her father out of the way so she could do the mother/son dance FIRST at the reception. She proceeded to look up romantically into her sons eyes as she pressed herself against him. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that, but I was too appalled. I could go on and on about this woman. But, I just feel really bad for Teresa's niece (the bride). I don't think she has a clue what she has just gotten herself into.

But, at least the girls looked cute!

Tessa had a bit of "stranger anxiety" during the wedding. Here's what her face looked like throughout the ceremony. She kept holding her arms out to me. So, I finally just waved for her to come and sit on my lap, where she proceeded to cry. The poor thing. But, first I snapped a picture of her face because I'm mean.

Let's not allow certain people to irritate us any more. If we ignore them, maybe they will go away.
Well, the girls and Sawyer look lovely and handsome!! Too bad the dresses didn't hold up! I love the photo of Tessa...poor dear.
The MOTB sounds a little scary though...and you say she went on the honeymoon?? These people need that marriage workshop I took!:rotfl:

I also had received help on the IGNORE feature. Did everyone catch the directions Sally gave?? Makes for a very peaceful day! :flower3:  :woohoo:

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

So apparentely there is a pm going around saying that I am the one who deleted the pictures in the photobucket account. Just so you all know when I signed off that account last night all the pictures were INTACT.I made sure to check that everything that was on there was left as it was because, I figured someone would do something low like this to place the blame on those of us who wanted our kids off the account. I don't appreciate being made a scapegoat for some petty people who have to play childish high school games merely because I replied and gave my opinion to a controversial subject post and I wanted my children out of the photobucket account. If you have something to say to me please by all means don't hide behind pm's to others or the ignore feature by all means pm me and say it ! I have a photobucket account which I have maitained for quite awhile now and like I told someone else I don't make mistakes like that by accident or on purpose. And personally you guys are not worth the effort it would take to do it. I think you all better take a look closer in your own backyard for the culprit/s !

In the beginning I really loved this thread. The people were nice there were no little cliques and everyones opinion , no matter what side there were on was respected even when we agreed to disagree. So to all the people I have known here from the start it was nice meeting you and I have deveoped some close friendships from here that I will always treasure. So to them thank you. But this thread has become petty and meanspirited to the point where if someone touches a nerve they are ripped to shreds. And if you are not in the clique you are fair game. Which is why I have not posted here much lately. I have outgrown childish games and so I think I have also outgrown this thread.

OH DEAR LOOK WHAT DISNEY DID NOW!!!!

DISNEY took off the hand and replaced it with this!!!

Isn't this a strip work jumper or a simply sweet dress by CarlaC (if not very similar)?? and isn't that a face from a pillow case?? I am HONESTLY asking because I am confused about how you do not want to be copied - many people have posted (both before and after you) similar dresses. . . so dunno how that one is "original" or how not to copy you?? I understand you are upset about the children's pictures. . . and honestly I don't even know if it was you or not, but whoever was upset about their stuff being copied and sold as originals, I agree with you that was plain wrong. . . I just don't get why even if we have differing opinions we must argue and post petty things. Let's try to stick to the golden rule, and get back at not only inspiring one another but at being friendly and supportive of one another. This was a happy and safe space for us to enjoy one another's internet company, I hope it gets back there soon!

Are you serious? I am not even in this...I have a job now and seldom sew, but have been lurking and enjoying this thread and many other renditions immensely, but this takes the cake.

See ya'. I am out. Removing my sub now.

Carrie

Hope you don't really leave - it has never been like this before on here!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

It was actually the GROOMS mother that was wacky! The brides parents were barely acknowledged. It was W E I R D!

I'm working on using that ignore feature right now!! THANKS SALLY!

I would hate it if this thread had to be closed but if the fighting continues I think that will be the only option available.

If you want to discuss matters or ask to have photos removed please do it in a private message not on the board.

I know everyone involved is hurting now. Please take a step back, a deep breath and try to enjoy your weekends.

Thank you! :wizard:
