I had to change the password again to the photobucket site, due to someone erasing full categories of pictures (on accident, I'm sure). So, if you'd still like to remove your children's pictures and you haven't had a chance yet, please PM me (nicely, please).

Just want to let everyone know before they start pointing fingers that it was not me. I went in last night deleted pics and was going to work on it again this morning. I am going to look, if I need the password again i'll let you know.
Lori
p.s. there is a section that has peoples pregnancy pictures, my cat was in there and random pics of things that are not custom made anything. anastasia was in there with santa, her in the nutcracker and no customs in site.

Which color would you use? I'm thinking of doing the twirl skort from YCMT.

The top I am undecided. I origionally was going to do an applique of the hat on a shirt. Then I thought to do an applique with her wear the red hat. Now, I just need opinions so I can make up my mind.

Please feel free to use my ideas for your own use. Thank you for your help.
I like the darker blue. I think it will be adorable. I love the idea of the red hat applique.

Had to share my "marker picture" - :lmao:

As for today I am staying in my getting ready for WDW trip mood...hope eveyone has a great day!:grouphug:

jham,
do you have a copy of that pattern? if so may I have copy of it, if you can? it's ok if you do not want to. refer to post 1790
thank you

Well.. you should have! I am used to it by now!

Thanks! I thought it was cute too! I think that we should ALL just get along!
The quilting is coming along, but it is taking a little time. I am trying to be as PRECISE as I can be on my seams. So I am just working on it a little bit at a time. I need to go out and get a 1/4" quilting foot. Hopefully that will help with my OCD anal tendencies!:goodvibes

Be careful...you are going to get VERY addicted!!! My mom is beyond hooked. Getting the long arm quilting machine has taken her to a whole new level.

I thought it was pretty funny that THE shoes of the quilting world are Crocs! Since there is so much standing a lot of quilters get special mats to stand on to ease back strain. Then crocs made a splash and people found that wearing crocs was just as effective and less expensive than the mats!!

i can't WAIT to see what you come up with! I do hope you will post!! I can SO see you doing a phenomenal Disney themed quilt!!:goodvibes

These pants are so cute. I saw some in WDW that were capri length and had elastic at the bottom of them. They were interesting to say the least.:)

Um, all the junk on the counter is just so you can get the size, lol!

I have a field trip with Jacob and a playdate after school so no sewing for me today. :sad2: I'll try to check in and see what everyone else has made though!
That is too cute. You did a great job!!!:thumbsup2

Those girls are just too cute. For my wedding we bought the Flower girl dresses on ebay and they were absolutely beautiful. Jenna still has hers and it still fits and that was almost two years ago. She is so tiny, but tall. Anyways CREEPY about the groom's mom. Did she go on the Honeymoon??? :rotfl:

I am going to use my mom's old adage for my DS at this point "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!'
That is so funny that you say that. I had to tell Jenna that while we were on our trip. She woke up in a bad mood and said something snarky to DH. I told her "If you can't say anything nice or in with a nice voice than we don't want to hear you talking." She did not talk for about 30 minutes and then she was just as sweet as pie.:lmao: I was shocked that it worked.

That is just too cute. It looks really comfortable.

Kirsta asked me last year for a Mulan outfit. This is another of my Tshirts and Skort outfits. I used 2 tshirts to make the changes. I would like to find a Mulan button to put a bow of somesort on the front of the vneck. And last year, on clearance at the Dstore, I bought a Mulan hair scrunchie. Do you think it passes muster?
That is just too clever! I love your skort and t-shirt outfits. They look so comfy, but so cute!

Oh no!! :lmao:

The kids look gorgeous. Love Sawyer's longish hair!

Okay, I'm off to church, then to put flowers on my parents' and son's graves. That oughta give me a little perspective!

Thank you! Sawyer's hair is finally growing out a little since both Grandma and Henry attacked his cute hair with a pair of scissors.

:flower3: for Timothy  for you.

I'm not seeing your pictures, but it could just be my computer.

YES!!! She did go on the honeymoon with them!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: Seriously, she did!

Does anyone know in what section I might find the Mary Poppins clothing in the photobucket account? Thanks!

hey girls, and Tom!
I have a quick question. I bought a Vogue pattern yesterday at Hancock and I am kinda scared of it as I haven't used a Vogue pattern yet. It is 7068. It said easy in the book so I am hoping that it isn't too bad. Anyone ever used it or done Vogue patterns? Are they really difficult?

Heather I am going to ask you one more time for the password. You said if you were pm'd you would give it out. Please honor your word. I am really unhappy this has happened. Please do not let this go any further. What is the password?

I was wondering where LisaZoe is. I thought she would be back from Disneyland by now.

I'm back but haven't had much time to check this board. I've just browsed a few pages and feel mixed emotions. I don't want to stir the pot but I do want to express my opinion on a couple things.

Then, I see the argument between having pictures in the public photobucket account, versus pictures on this thread or on ebay. Ya, don't make sense to me at all to throw a fit about having their pictures in the photobucket account, but have no problem plastering those pictures on here to share, and on ebay. I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures that I saved to my hard drive from the public photobucket account, and also from this thread here so I can re-create the same custom posted without having to go backa nd search this thread or the photobucket account. It is just easier for me to copy and save everything on my computer. Am I going to have to go and delete all those photos? It was posted out here on the internet, so i think it is fair game.

I do share photos here and have allowed them to be added to the photobucket account. In fact, I was impressed when I first started sharing that the person maintaining the photobucket account at that time PMed me to make sure I was OK having my photos added to the account. However, they are MY photos and even if they are posted on the internet, they are implicitly copyrighted. There's a big difference between my sharing them here or on :wizard: because if I want to delete the photo in my photobucket account, I have the option to remove my photos from the internet. Once someone has copied my photo, I've lost the ability to delete it myself.

In general, I don't save photos of other people's kids to my computer unless they have been sent to me, i.e. by parents sharing photos of their child in my creations. Even so, I don't feel comfortable posting them anywhere online without express permission of the parent. However, if the parent asked me not to use them any longer, I would remove the photo ASAP. I know maintaining the disboutiquers' photobucket account is something that isn't a trivial task but anyone who accepts responsibility for that account should realize that they may need to remove photos ASAP if they are informed the photos were added without permission or knowledge. We are, after all, usually talking about the photos of someone's child more than about what the child is wearing.

I have been reading but haven't said anything but I am wondering how is having your pictures in the photobucket account different from posting your kids' picture here on this disboutiquer thread, or in your trip report? It is also public domain.

Also, Lori..I know you said that your ebay pictures are right click disabled...yes, they definitely are not right clickable, but there are ways to getting the image without having to right click... if you put your images out on the internet whether or not it is in the public photobucket account, there ARE ways to get them, right clickable or not.

Sorry, photos on the internet are NOT public domain. I know that is a common misunderstanding but all photos and page content are considered copyrighted by the creator or the owner of the originating website. Just because there are ways around the right click disabling, doesn't mean people have given up their copyright claims. Yes, it is hard to enforce on the internet and I know people copy I think everyone here would agree that when we are talking about a photo of a person's child, we should always err on the side of caution and not copy that photo without permission.

So I usually try not to post too much about my personal woes (because they are mostly boring), but I figured the mood needs lightening up around here so I'll go OT for a minute.

Last week Louie and I took the train down to Richmond, VA to visit my folks. Our house is currently on the market, so I figured it was good to get out of town rather that clean up after Lou constantly.

Now I'm a pretty low-maintenance kind of gal - rarely wear makeup, spend the day in yoga pants and t shirts, don't wear shoes unless I have to - you get my drift (I'm kinda earthy-crunchy). I decided that since my mom would be around to watch Lou that I would do something nice for myself. I decided to get a haircut (which I usually do myself) and highlights (which the sun usually does for me).

I went to one of the hairdressers at my mom's favorite salon. She gave me a trim right before my brother's wedding (I looked like a sheepdog before), and I liked it. So I figured she would be OK to give me a cut and a few highlights :confused3 .

Well, it was a busy day in the salon, and my gal slapped some foils on my head, put me under the dryer, and took a few other customers. It seemed like I was under there a loooong time. When she took the foils off, it looked like clumps of wet, white thread fell out. She washed it, dried it, trimmed it, and told me how great it looked. Now being that I don't really know how properly highlighted hair should look, I agreed with her politely. But in reality, I looked like I had aged 20 years.

I got home, and as soon as I stepped out of the car my dad said "well, I can tell you've been riding with Shirley" (my mom's elderly friend who is a wild and crazy driver and had met us for lunch that day). Well, I knew he was making a joke about my hair and wasn't too happy  . Neither was my mom - she chewed him out several times that afternoon.

Anyway, my mom convinced me that I looked stunning, so I decided to live with the hair. I got back to CT and got all these non-compliments like "oooooh - you frosted your hair, good for you." So I decided to darken my hair up - how hard could it be, right???

Well, I bought some stuff that is specifcally meant to cover gray hair. Even though my white strands were brought on by bleach, I figured it would have the same impact and make me normal. The stuff was orange coming out of the tube, but the instructions said that the color of the goo was not necessarily representative of the color that the hair would end up.

My hair is now kind of orangey-brownish.

:scared1:

My stepson says it looks better than it did, but I think that is just another non-compliment. :sad2:

OK - enough whining - back to work...

This is one reason I go so long between salon visits. It's so hard to know if the person is going to do what is asked or just do what she/he thinks I "really meant". I hate confrontation so I don't say anything if I'm not satisfied but I won't go back and I will tell others of my bad experience.

Does anyone know in what section I might find the Mary Poppins clothing in the photobucket account? Thanks!
They were under "All Other Disney Characters" Unfortunately, that category was wiped out by someone who mis-used the password. Would you like me to post Tessa's Mary Poppins dress?

EEEEWWWWW!!!!! Here's my creeped out smiley just for this lady.

Please ignore this response if you are not Aimeeg:
Aimee, as I stated in the last 4 or so PMs, please send me the links to the pictures you want removed. I will happily remove them for you.

I looked at the pattern. It's going to be a great looking dress. I haven't used Vogue in awhile, but I don't think it's any different then the others. But I'm sure someone else has another opinion. :lmao:

I don't think I have mentioned this, but on Thursday my baby boy Oscar (my 220 pound English Mastiff) had a seizure. I heard a thud in my bedroom and found him lying on his side foaming at the mouth, pawing his feet and he had wet himself. It lasted about a minute (a very long minute it seemed to me). And of course, DH was not at home (are DH's ever home when you REALLY need them?). So I called the vet and they said to bring him in today. I took him this morning and had a bunch of blood work done. The vet said that lots of dogs do have seizures for no reason at all. We will find out the results on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be nothing but their is a neurologist in town that will see him (a vet, not a people one) and do an MRI if necessary. I know it seems silly to some people (since he is a dog and not a person) but if you have a chance please say a little prayer for my Oscar. Thanks!

I hope Oscar is ok! I also hope you did not carry him yourself.
I used the new reynolds vacuum sealer to pack Jenna's clothes. I was able to fit 16 outfits including two princess dresses in her little suitcase. Just remember to bring the vacuum sealer with you.
Oh my gosh!!! That is such an incredibly clever idea!!!! I have the space saver bags, but once you get there, you can't get them flat again!!!!! I may have to look into that for our next trip!
first off... I absolutely love everything you all have been putting out! the outfits/projects are amazing! you all have been seriously busy. I've been busy but not in a fun sewing kind of way. so busy... haven't even been lurking (I'm serious! I was around page 45!) I'm up to page 76... I give up for the night. but to keep it short (too late!), I love love love everything. And I will try to catch up again tomorrow.

I also have to ask a favor. My husband's grandfather has been in the hospital since Monday. He's in his 80's and all of the sudden got hit by a virus or something. He was fine at 10am, by 3pm Monday he was completely different. Anyway, by tuesday he had "hospital psychosis" (i think that's what my hubbie calls it). Basically, he doesn't know where or when he is. He's reliving every decade and having full conversations w/ people he hasn't seen in 40 years. They also haven't figured out what afflicted him in the first place. So good thoughts/vibes/prayers would be much appreciated... that they find out what is wrong, that he gets his bearings back, that he's not in pain. I'm not picky. I just don't want him to suffer. and now I have to stop before I start crying and wake Scott up. Good night all. Happy Sunday!
He will most certainly be in our prayers!!!!

Does anyone know where Anastasia (Disneymommieof2) has been? I haven't seen her post in a while and I miss her!
She posted that she was going into lurk mode awhile back. Hopefully, she pops in to say hello. I miss her too!! We need all the posotive energy we can muster around here lately!!!
Wow...I've not often seen pics of Tessa looking sad...she's usually grinning from ear to ear...I almost didn't recognize her!

I LOVE the pictures of her squatting...that picture is worth a THOUSAND words!

My step son was making a weird face in most my wedding pictures b/c the photographer kept saying "Look Joyful..." Like a four year old knows what that MEANS! He later said to me "I wanted to look Happy not BOYFUL"...he thought the photographer was instructing him to make a face that BOY would make...so he picked his "monster face":rotfl2:

I love how kids end up barefoot by the end of receptions! Sally was barefoot about 10 minutes in to our reception!

Y'all are too darling...

sounds like the wedding was...interesting. Sounds like mom forgot to cut those apron strings!

:lmao:

PS-Sawyer looked VERY handsome!! Sounds like my DH...organizing is his LIFE!!!

Oh, I love it!!! BOYish face!!!!! That Teddy is darling!!!!!

I had to run in to rescue Lydia from some serious leg cramps during the photo shoot!!! They had her all squatty too for quite awhile. She tends to get leg cramps, so I kept telling her, "Do the Megan, do the Megan!!!" Tessa did it, but since another adult had instructed Lydia to squat, she wouldn't move!!! The poor baby. So, I ran over, while the MIL was fixing the bride, and had her do the Megan. OH my!!! I got yelled at big time for that one!!!! But, since I was ready to bean the MIL in the head with a flowergirl basket by then, I didn't care if my behind got into ALL their pictures!!!

good morning everyone.

Im going to disney in 09 . We will be staying in a house off disney because there is 7 of us in my party, and my BFF, her husband and son will also be staying with us. A total of 10. We will be there May 7-11th.

So, how is the weather in disney in May? Do I pack tank tops, short sleeves, or long sleves. Should I bring jackets for the evening?

It can be hot, it can be chilly. This year it was hot, but we have needed jackets before too. We go every year at that time. We will be there at the same time you are next year. I hope we get to see you!!!

WOW Heather and Teresa the girls look great! But holy cow I feel really bad for Teresa's niece! That is really freaky! And sick in a way. I would have flipped out if I had been the bride! But the kids and sawyer are sooooo cute. I love how he picked all the petals up, Roseanna was like that for the longest time. Now she is super messy.

Yep, freaky! Sawyer was so cute!!!! During the ceremony, he was either saying, "flowers" or "mess" and wanting to get down to pick up the petals! I like to think he was saying, "mess"!

I love that!!! You do the most creative things with the princess outfits!!! I knew right away who it was!!! I just love Mulan, she is one of my favorite princesses!!!
The kids look gorgeous. Love Sawyer's longish hair! And the sad picture of Tessa about broke my heart but she looked so beautiful.
Okay, I'm off to church, then to put flowers on my parents' and son's graves. That oughta give me a little perspective!

You and your precious Timothy will be in my thoughts today. We love you Jeanne.

I bought the lighter blue dots to make a Minnie patchwork skirt with, so that's what I'd use!

TJ and HS - Tessa and Lydia look beautiful!! (Sawyer's pretty darn cute too!!) They both look stunning in that shade of blue. (Even if Tessa is pouting!!)

Thanks!!! They were so pretty! Even if the dresses literally fell apart!!!

Tessa isn't pouting though, the poor child was literally terrified! I felt so bad for her! She did go back up to the front after Heather held her for awhile though.

Had to share my "marker picture" - :lmao:

Yes, we should all remember the advice of Thumpers' parents, "If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say anything at all!" And, "Eating greens is a special treat, it makes long ears and great big feet!!! But they sure are awful stuff to eat! (I made that last part up myself)"

And, I know Heather allready answered, but YES as I understood it, she IS going to be joining them on their honeymoon!!!!! (after a few days).
Does anyone know in what section I might find the Mary Poppins clothing in the photobucket account? Thanks!

They should be in the "other characters" section. There aren't a lot though.

You are absolutely right, Lisa! I don't want anyone's photos on there if they don't want them to be there. I don't want to share the password anymore, but I will remove any picture that anyone wants taken off if you PM me with the link.

quick question and I'll leave it alone. I have to get to a BBQ this morning....

every picture that was put in there, were the parents or people posting asked? Just curious because there are some interesting pics in there.
