I didn't know if it was you or not in the avatar, but I just liked the little pictures at the bottom. We were in Epcot during a marathon, and it was so inspiring...I'm afraid even if I trained, I would never make it...LOL. Isn't it true that you have to make it to a certain point to continue...

Yes. I did the half this past January. For the half marathon and the full, it is a 16 min mile pace. You can be picked up at any time if you cannot keep that pace, but generally they only sweep people at certain points. If you can make it past those sweep points, you are good to keep going.

I only mentioned the avatar because people have asked if that is me. (In my dreams)

I missed quite a few pages while I was at the wedding. For obvious reasons, I don't want to go back and read through them. So, if I didn't reply to something cute or sweet that any of you posted, I wasn't ignoring you.

These are so cute!!! So is your little girl! I especially love the polka dot dress.

Thanks eveyone that commented on the paint so far. The furniture is a sage green but I was just saying to MIL the other day that it has seen better days sso I am on the lookout for furniture on the super cheap! I am accenting with alot of creamy whites and off whites. My curtains are a small plaid that has the colors in it. That is where I pulled them from. It is a huge change because the walls use to be a light green. Thanks also on the comments on the entertainment center. It took me a good 4 hours on and off to get it together. the trickiest parts was doing the doors by myself.

I didn't comment, but I wanted to! I think the paint looks great and the entertainment center is gorgesous! I once put together a huge computer desk all by my lonesome. There's only one part that consistently falls off. :rolleyes1

I don't think I have mentioned this, but on Thursday my baby boy Oscar (my 220 pound English Mastiff) had a seizure. I heard a thud in my bedroom and found him lying on his side foaming at the mouth, pawing his feet and he had wet himself. It lasted about a minute (a very long minute it seemed to me). And of course, DH was not at home (are DH's ever home when you REALLY need them?). So I called the vet and they said to bring him in today. I took him this morning and had a bunch of blood work done. The vet said that lots of dogs do have seizures for no reason at all. We will find out the results on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be nothing but their is a neurologist in town that will see him (a vet, not a people one) and do an MRI if necessary. I know it seems silly to some people (since he is a dog and not a person) but if you have a chance please say a little prayer for my Oscar. Thanks!
Oh no, poor Oscar (and poor Benita). That must have been scary, but I'm sure he'll be fine.

I also have to ask a favor. My husband's grandfather has been in the hospital since Monday. He's in his 80's and all of the sudden got hit by a virus or something. He was fine at 10am, by 3pm Monday he was completely different. Anyway, by tuesday he had "hospital psychosis" (i think that's what my hubbie calls it). Basically, he doesn't know where or when he is. He's reliving every decade and having full conversations w/ people he hasn't seen in 40 years. They also haven't figured out what afflicted him in the first place. So good thoughts/vibes/prayers would be much appreciated... that they find out what is wrong, that he gets his bearings back, that he's not in pain. I'm not picky. I just don't want him to suffer. and now I have to stop before I start crying and wake Scott up. Good night all. Happy Sunday!
How awful! I will most definitely pray for Scott's grandpa and for your family. I was very close to Henry's grandpa, so I know how special grandpa-in-laws can be.

Does anyone know where Anastasia (Disneymommieof2) has been? I haven't seen her post in a while and I miss her!

first off... I absolutely love everything you all have been putting out! the outfits/projects are amazing! you all have been seriously busy. I've been busy but not in a fun sewing kind of way. so busy... haven't even been lurking (I'm serious! I was around page 45!) I'm up to page 76... I give up for the night. but to keep it short (too late!), I love love love everything. And I will try to catch up again tomorrow.

I will definatly keep him in my prayers. Please keep us posted.

I thought I'd share some pictures from the wedding Tessa, Arminda, and Lydia were in yesterday. I didn't get a good picture of Arminda, so hopefully Teresa has one. We bought the flower girl dresses off of ebay (at the bride's request). They were pure junk! 3 out of the 5 dresses were ripping apart by the end of the reception and several were ripped BEFORE the reception. All of the embellishments fell off of Tessa's. I had to resew all the buttons onto her dress before she even wore it. The wedding was...interesting....
The mother of the groom was in charge and made the wedding all about her and her son. It was as if they were the ones getting married. She even sang a song during the ceremony about how he's getting married, but he still belongs to her. CREEPY!! She practically pushed the bride and her father out of the way so she could do the mother/son dance FIRST at the reception. She proceeded to look up romantically into her sons eyes as she pressed herself against him. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that, but I was too appalled. I could go on and on about this woman. But, I just feel really bad for Teresa's niece (the bride). I don't think she has a clue what she has just gotten herself into.

But, at least the girls looked cute!

Tessa had a bit of "stranger anxiety" during the wedding. Here's what her face looked like throughout the ceremony. She kept holding her arms out to me. So, I finally just waved for her to come and sit on my lap, where she proceeded to cry. The poor thing. But, first I snapped a picture of her face because I'm mean.

The mother of the groom made her squat for all of the pictures and she was getting tired, so this is what she did in the last few:

Here's my little flower boy. He felt it was his job to go and pick up all of the flower petals and put them back in the basket after the wedding. He likes things to be in order!

Here's Teresa's DH, Brian, dancing to "Play That Funky Music White Boy" with the flower girls at the wedding. How sweet is he?

Well, here's the story :lmao: My nephew is getting married in L.A. on June 7 :SO, I told him that since he was forcing me to cancel our family Disneyland trip for June, that he would have to agree to a trip in October, which he did (a little guilt and getting Luke to say "Daddy, can we please go to Disneyland for my birthday?" did the trick).

When are you going? We have an October trip planned as well! We'll be there Oct 5-11 at the Contemporary! :cool1:

Wow...I've not often seen pics of Tessa looking sad...she's usually grinning from ear to ear...I almost didn't recognize her!

I LOVE the pictures of her squatting...that picture is worth a THOUSAND words!

My step son was making a weird face in most my wedding pictures b/c the photographer kept saying "Look Joyful..." Like a four year old knows what that MEANS! He later said to me "I wanted to look Happy not BOYFUL"...he thought the photographer was instructing him to make a face that BOY would make...so he picked his "monster face":rotfl2:

I love how kids end up barefoot by the end of receptions! Sally was barefoot about 10 minutes in to our reception!

Y'all are too darling...

sounds like the wedding was...interesting. Sounds like mom forgot to cut those apron strings!

:lmao:

PS-Sawyer looked VERY handsome!! Sounds like my DH...organizing is his LIFE!!!

WOW Heather and Teresa the girls look great! But holy cow I feel really bad for Teresa's niece! That is really freaky! And sick in a way. I would have flipped out if I had been the bride! But the kids and sawyer are sooooo cute. I love how he picked all the petals up, Roseanna was like that for the longest time. Now she is super messy.

good morning everyone.

Im going to disney in 09 . We will be staying in a house off disney because there is 7 of us in my party, and my BFF, her husband and son will also be staying with us. A total of 10. We will be there May 7-11th.

So, how is the weather in disney in May? Do I pack tank tops, short sleeves, or long sleves. Should I bring jackets for the evening?

Poor Oscar. I will say a little prayer for him. I know what you are going through. My Leesie, a miniature schnauzer has diabetes. We haven't been able to regulate her blood sugar with insulin. Her sugar is always really high. I need to get her shot ready and give it to her soon.

I hope Oscar has something that can be managed easily.

Wow that's too bad about the dresses. Were they store dresses that someone was selling or were they "handmade"? That blue is really pretty and the girls are beautiful.

Sawyer looks handsome in his white oxford!

We went to a perfectly wonderful birthday party which ended my crazy week on a really nice note. There were 4 bouncy jumps and pony rides! Also the weather was perfect today!

I love your creations! Welcome to our board!

I am getting prepared for my trip, but I just had to comment on a couple of things:

I have the singer futura and I LOVE it! I think you will too!

Sorry I didn't comment on everything, but I just hopped on for like a minute! I will see everyone when I return from my trip!:grouphug:

First of all have a great trip. I love getting ready for a trip!
I hope I love the Futura too. We are going to get it today! The first thing I want to do is sew a name on a baby blanket.

Then I want to make a Mickey Head!

I am a newbie and have always hand sewn. But for Mothers day I found a Brother CS6000i for only 89.00 So I had to have it here are a few things I did last summer.

Great price on the machine!! Love your outfits!

I am new here, and found this thread by doing a search on disney custom and have been lurking for about couple months. I have used a lot of ideas from here to create customs for my girls for our disney trip in August, but now I am hesitant to share my customs. Did I copy the customs that was made? Yes, I sure did and I thought that's what this board is all about. To share and to inspire others and I have never even heard of the term CASE until I started lurking here - to copy and steal everything.

Once my girls are done with their customs, will I sell my customs on ebay? Of course, I will. Why wouldn't I? If I don't, what am I going to do with those customs? Will I list them as something that I made? Sure, of course..because I did make them.

I've done several google searches for ideas or patterns and often come up with threads from the DisBoards, so becuase your on this board, your aren't protected.

But I, for one, would love to see your customs. What you do later, is up to you. I give mine to my sister for my neice, that I plan to take to Disney when she's older! How is that for saving time. :rotfl:

if you don't want your stuff copied don't show it. it's that simple.

we've all seen pictures of your beautiful daughters. posting this picture is only serving to stir the pot some more.

we've all had more than enough.

I'm sorry you felt violated or ripped off or whatever. Everyone gets that and agrees that it was wrong for your stuff to be copied and passed off as original.

honestly though, most everybody really wants to put all the recent unpleasantness behind us and get back to the purpose of the board.

all done.

Are you serious? I am not even in this...I have a job now and seldom sew, but have been lurking and enjoying this thread and many other renditions immensely, but this takes the cake.

See ya'. I am out. Removing my sub now.

Thanks. They kind of make me look like an athlete, too, huh? Truth is I was the last one over the finish line of the Minnie 15K. I am so sloooowwww, but, hey, I still finished it.

It's my DLF buddy from the wish boards!!! I was the last place finisher in the 5K - but hey we finished right!!!! My husband will be running the 1/2 with you! :)

This is totally OT but I had to share to lighten the mood. Russell was being really quiet, too quiet in fact so I went into my room to find this......

Good thing I already bought paint to redo the room!

I don't know where to :scared1: or :lmao: ! I bet we all have a story like this!

QUESTION: How do you pack your pretty outfits for travelling?? How do you keep them all sorted etc and some of the stuff is pretty big and boufy. I'll need to do some trial packing runs I think :)

I use the 1 or 2 gallon Ziplock bags. We did this 2 yrs ago and it worked perfectly. I carefully fold the dresses/outfits and put them in the bags, sit on the bags and zip it shut.
