I am so sad to see the photobucket acct go. :sad1: But I do understand the need to do so. May I make a suggestion? Could we start fresh with a brand new acct and those that wish to contribute to it state so when they post pics?

I am half way down with another top for Erin. Mom and I sat down this afternoon and wrote out what sill needs to be done. Oh my, Erin will have more outfits than she can wear! Oh well, a girl can change a couple of times a day, correct?;)

OMG!!! The hail is crazy!!! 4 tornadoes spotted around us!!!:scared1: :scared1:
Oh please stay safe!!!!

Yikes! So, I'm trying to play catch-up here! Lots of things posted here. . .

So, as I was skimming I saw someone posted a vintage minnie! Sorry I didn't quote you - I had to lose the quotes because I had entirely too many!

Anyway, in light of recent things, I'd like to share my vintage minnie - I had originally held it back from posting here and I did put it on :wizard: a while back. But I'm hoping that people don't stop sharing their wonderful creations, so I know I'm going to continue sharing mine. I may put it up on :wizard: again sometime, but for now, it's hanging nicely in Ella's closet.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this one:

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday night - I'm headed to work :sad1: Hey, at least it's holiday pay, right? That's what I'm telling myself anyway. That and I have 9 days off after tonight! Famous last words. . . .
I love it!! It is so cute and original. And great job appliqueing all of those dots.:scared1:
I went and got my Birthday sewing machine today:cool1:
DH had to hook up an old PC to my monitor since I use a Mac. So now I have two computers hooked up to my monitor. The Futura doesn't work with the Mac. There is a tutorial to help you get started so I think that will be helpful.

Here is a picture of my new machine

We also went and picked up DD's Flower Girl Dress for my Brother's wedding in August.

I love that machine. I wish I could have gotten that one when I got a new one, but I don't regret getting the one I got. I got a Brother. That flower girl dress is beautiful and I'll bet that your DD will make it even more beautiful.

Thanks for the Zip loc bag tip for travelling I think that will work well. Lets hope that I don't spend too much time ironing them once I get to the US lol. I might actually do that with my own clothes lol - might save them from shampoo explosions and what not :)
You can try rolling the outfits before you put them in the ziploc bags and then when you get to the hotel you can hang them up right away. That way they have some time to pull down and pull out some of the wrinkles also hanging them in a steamy bathroom can help.

That sweater looks so comfy and warm. I wish I could knit. Your Little girl looks so guilty in that pic, but she looks like she was enjoying it.

Another photo sharing option is in the works. ;)

Jenna changed outfits atleast twice a day while we were there.:lmao:

 My MIL, my mom and I are planning the girl's outfits for our December trip. My husband thinks we're nuts! I really ought to show him this thread then he might give me a break.

I think that is a wonderful idea!! I too am sad to see it go. You can have my pics for a new site, although there are only a handful. ;)

Maybe you missed my earlier post...I said I think I know what you need to buy Corey for Christmas!!! :rotfl2: !

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I let Brian know!!!

OH!!! How EXCITING!!!! I have YET to turn on my embroidery machine I bought before we went to Florida!!!!

Thanks for that - I better get onto ordering as I'm a slow sewer at the best of times lol.

I might order enough to make 2 each for the girls - a black one for their pirate outfit and then another colour for each of them. I plan on making them with an adjustable waist so hopefully they will both be able to wear the different coloured ones.
OOOOHHH and I have a ruffler foot coming - YAY - hopefully that will make things easier :)

oooh and I forgot I did some sewing - I made the debut purse from YCMT for a swap with a group of friends (I always manage to get more completed if I'm sewing for someone else). I love this pattern and want to make me a couple (but I never get around to sewing myself anything lol)

Like Crystal said, we are working on something. We are thinking of a Zooomr or a Flickr account. I'm still trying to figure it all out, when I get it set up, I'll let you guys all know!

Everything is gorgeous ladies (but what's new - You are all inspiring :worship: oh and Tom - you are beyond amazing...I keep thinking I'll get more done if I could persuade DH to sew or knit with me :rolleyes1 )

I emailed Sams Petticoats lady a couple of weeks ago about sending to NZ but I haven't heard back :( I really really want a petticoat. I'll contact the people doing the nylon chiffon again and find out what postage will be as I lost my email. How many yards of fabric do I need for each one?? I want to make the girls pirate outfits as we have decided to do the halloween thing when we go (Halloween isn't something that is celebrated in NZ so thought it could be fun for us all to dress up :) )

Sams only sells to wholesellers (I think) so that might be why you have not heard from them and I heard there is a long wait from them like 6 months. I can PM you a nice boutique on the West Coast that carries them they are about $50 us and may ship to you (I do not work for them I just buy from them)

I was wondering about just setting up a personal photobucket sub account that is public, and putting the link in my siggy. OR, a personal rolling flickr account that could go in my siggy. The only problem with that is that everyone would have their own (that may be a good thing - no issues with unapproved pics being included), and everyone would need to maintain their own account.

Just to update everyone, I will be leaving for my trip very early in the morning, so my mom and dad just left with my girls!:sad1: :sad2: :guilty: I have been bawling my eyes out for the last few minutes and I can't seem to stop! I was really doing well until my 4yo old brought me this little blue heart and said " Here mommy, you can take this on your trip to remember me!":sad1: So here I sit, crying like a baby!

I so know what you're going through. I went on a weekend cruise in April with a bunch of girlfriends. It was the first time I was ever away from my kids. I cried the night before I left, as I was leaving the house that morning, and everyday on the cruise. I had a wonderful time, but it was so hard being away from them.

thanks - someone has been in contact with me. :thumbsup2

Has anybody done any Wendy (from Peter Pan) outfits? My DD insists that's who she is going to be for halloween this year - yes she's already planning halloween - and I figured while MIL still has her sewing maching out I may as well hit her with this one. I could at least find her a pattern.

Here is one I did. No pattern, but it's a basic peasant top with an attached gathered tier skirt. If I were to do it again, I would , obviously, make the sash thinner.

THat is Super duper cute!!!!!!!! I love the hat, it makes the outfit.

I don't remember who it was that suggested that I get rechargeable batteries for my camera, but I want to thank whoever it was. I bought a four pack and they last 20 times longer than regular batteries and I love that I don't have to throw them away.

I think that was me. Glad to hear it worked out well for you and you got some incredible photos!!!!!! Looking forward to your trip report.

I really loved your round neck Epcot dress!:thumbsup2

Thank you for the advice and thanks for the compliment on the dress. I made that dress the night before the day we left. I didn't have any snaps so I had to do buttons and buttonholes :scared1: . It turned out ok despite having to do buttons.

Cindee, my DH likes Beverly too. I always rib him about it, saying it must be a European thing (he's from the UK) but he enjoys getting unsuspecting people to try it. He's evil like that.

disneylovinfamily, I love that patchwork, I was looking at it yesterday. There were other varieties at Hancock that I was looking at as well. I was trying to be good and didn't get any but I'll be getting some after vacation, I've got lots of ideas for Delaney's summer stuff for that patchwork.

I just got back from Hancock and got 2 different patchwork fabrics....a very cute pink/orange/yellow...and a anothe plaid/flowers...I can't wait to do something with them..And of course I had to get my patterns, McCalls and Butterick are 88 cents a piece....Of course if I had any idea how to get pictures on here I would show y'all my fabrics and patterns. I'll learn someday!;)[/QUOTE]

ok, I thought DMIL was losing her mind (sorry rara) when she told me my post was gone. I know it was before these and now it is not there. WIERD! Well here are the pics again.

Thank you. You know how I am, I tend to not see things in front of my face. I did think I was losing it. By the way, does my Ro know that her underpants were showing in the picture you posted? I can just see that face she makes when she realizes that you got one over on her.:rotfl:

Photo sites

As I posted a little bit ago, we have been working on getting a site like Flickr, Zooomr, or the like set up for our pictures. This way, each person would upload their own pictures, this would eliminate any problems of people's pictures being put there that did not want them, and it would save Heather and I TONS of work!!

I have accounts set up at each right now, I'm just trying to figure out which one looks like it will work best for us. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding them?
