Hello everyone! We're back...and I can't feel my feet. Here's a rundown of what we did..a mini trip report..per say.
We arrived at MK at 8:30. Watched the welcome to the park show.
Big Thunder Mountain 2 times
Peter Pan, Met Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Tea cups (Ireland only), Buzz LightYear, then we were approached by the dream team and Miss Ireland wasn't being her usually nice self, so we only scored two-re entry tickets. Met a Diser on TTA, I think her name was VanessaV...(sorry if I'm butchering it), She had a lime green Mickey head on her bag and printed on it was Disboards, and her name...it was a neat idea. We saw push and the guy who controls push, Space Mountain, Lunch at Casey's, Met Snow white and dumbo,
Headed to Animal Kingdom, at this point, I had already threw my sneakers away and was working on a pair of flip flops. Ireland had also visited the first aid for bandaids for her feet.
At AK, we did Everest, Nemo Show, Lion King show (twice) Ireland is obsessed with the gymnast monkeys, met Rafiki, Pocohontas, and Flik, the Safari ride, the Conservation Station train thing, ...I'm thinking that's it...maybe more that I forgot...
Here are a few photos.

LOVE the shirt! Is it an embroidery design, or did you hand applique? If it's an embroidery design, do you mind sharing where you got it?

Thank you so much for the sweet compliments everyone. You really made my day in such a big way! :goodvibes I promise not to be a stranger around here anymore. I may not be able to keep up with all the ins and outs of everything that's going on, but I promise to check in as often as possible--at least once a week. I miss a lot of my old friends from around here. Some of you I still have good contact with, but I've lost touch with others.

**Angela** iluvwdw4ever Thanks you so much for the sweet PM, I tried to respond but your box is full. I'll try again tomorrow. :)

Have a great night everyone!!

I almost forgot to comment on the amazing work I've seen here lately. You ladies have been busy, busy, busy! Wow! Really, every time I pop in here, I'm amazed at what everyone has been able to accomplish. I'm completely taken aback, because in the past year, I've watched beginning sewers become quite accomplished seamstresses--all because of the community here. It really speaks volumes for everyone who visits. There's such a willingness to learn, help, and share that makes this group such a success and so much fun!

**Teresa**--I love your new Marie outfit! I think it's my very favorite of yours! The fabric is just TDF! I can't believe you made that with only 1/2 a yard of the Marie fabric. Wow! Your new Snow and Jasmine outfits are really cute too. That was so sweet of you to make those for your nieces. I bet they think you're the best aunt ever! I also bet HeatherSue would beg to differ! lol!

**Elisa**--the top you made for the Disney petti is adorable. It made me love that petti all the more! The fabric is a perfect compliment!

**HeatherSue**--You already know how much I *love* your Chip & Dale scallopini! It was fun to catch a glimpse of it again today.

Hello all! I finally got some of my pics uploaded to photobucket! I have been so busy, but seeing Ireland makes me want to go back!!!

Okay, I guess that's enough for now!!!!

Poor little guy! My DD's 5 but she has been vaccinated. She's got a few low on her belly, a few on her legs-behind the knees, and a couple on the back of her neck-none on her face yet.

Did you fly to FL on that trip? Did they let him back on the plane?

Owner's Locker is a storage box that you pay an annual fee for. The $99/year includes one visit's delivery & pickup of your box. Additional trips are $25 but they are having a special right now where you got 2 trips for the first 3 years. You also have to pay an enrollment fee but that includes your first delivery. I've been taking about 3 trips per year and always UPS a box to the resort. I only take 1 checked bag total for our family of 5. So the storage box will have all the stuff I keep in my "Disney box"-spray fans, pop up hamper, water bottle holder, ect...I also bought a 2nd battery charger for my camera and one for my cell phone. Now I'll never have to worry about any of the extra "stuff". I'll probably have to take a 2nd checked bag on my next family trip as I used to send a few extra outfits in the UPS box. I'm looking forward to trying out this service.

We drove on our trip to Florida, so that wasn't an issue, thank goodness! By the time we were driving home, he looked horrible, but he was feeling ok. He had a pretty miserable few days though! Thankfully, we were at my Grandparent's house that week, so he could just take it easy. He caught the chicken pox from a child who had been vaccinated, which I was suprised about. I wouldn't think they would be so catchy. My neice also got them at the same time (she and Corey were in the same kindergarten class). But, she had the vaccine so she only got a few.

The owners locker sounds like a pretty neat idea! With the way some of the airlines are limiting your luggage now, it is sounding better and better!

Here's the Pooh dress I made DD. I made it way too long at first and had to take it apart and cut off 4". It looks really cute on now.

And a fun pair of shorts for older DD.

We've missed you. This is a such a wonderful group of people, isn't it! I hope you do stop in more often! This particular installment of the thread really went fast!

Thank you! I think the Marie might be one of my favorite things I've ever made. It turned out just like I wanted it to! That doesn't usually happen! :rotfl:

I was just going to say that Heather is a pretty terrific aunt too! I will happily share the title with her!

Great pictures!!! I love the ones of your daughters before and after their day!!! Too funny! :rotfl:

They were worn out! They just dropped in the hall walking to our room, and I had to take a picture! Haha! You guys must be getting excited, 5 days till your trip. You ready????

That first day was great. I had made my SIL and me matching shirts. When I get my photopass cd, I wll post pics of us all. We got noticed everywhere we went. A CM noticed us in toontown, and asked us if we had seen Minnie, when we said no, he took us straight in, and we by-passed the line. It was great!

I'm still sewing!! Everyone has their BBB outfits except for Arminda. She wants Cinderella, and I'm trying to decide if I can make the peasant dress look like Cinderella. That's what I used for the Snow White, so I think it will work. I'm just not sure!! Oh, the indeciseviness of me!!!

that is so cool that you had matching shirts and got to see Minnie!!! I can't wait to see more of your pictures!

Ok, Ok, you all have talked me into it!!! I'm going to do the peasant dress for Cinderella!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:confused3 What? I'm the only one here?? :confused3 No one was talking me into anything? :confused3 huh.....weird.....

:rotfl2:

Teresa- If you use that dress pattern just make the sleeve 3/4. For the neck I would use the turned over elastic casing. Then add an apron and head scarf. Do you have the apron jumper YMCT pattern? You could take the apron parttern and insert it in the waist of the dress.

I think it will be super cute! Make sure you get lots of pics of her on the castle floor. ;)

yes yes a cinderelly peasant dress will be lovely!!! Will it be like the one that Heather made? Hmmm I am having trouble remembering which is the pesant dress is it pink or blue??

Oh my goodness you all have been super busy!! I am just catching up from the past few days and WOW. Now I have to go research fancy nancy I have no idea who she is but she is soooo cute!!
Can I just say I really really want to go back to WDW, like tomorrow- I am ready!! :yay:
Well probably not  - I need at least a few weeks of non stop sewing to make sure we are properly fitted with beautiful outfits.:scared: Everyone is looking just so darned cute in their outfits at disney!! I totally want a redo on my trip (that was five months ago) They only had one custom outfit each- I found you all to late!! :sad2:
There has been no final decision on DL this fall so I guess I just have to make that happen!! :woohoo: :rolleyes1

Why didn't I know about fancy nancy- she is soooo sophia or rather sophia is sooo fancy nancy!! We are totally going to the library tomorrow!! She is super cute!!! And very fancy!!:lmao:

You guys are funny tonight! Or, maybe that's just because it's 3:30 AM and I'm sleep deprived?????

I found enough silvery fabric so I am making Arminda the Cinderella ball gown. She really wanted that one, but she didn't want it blue, because it's not really blue, it's silvery or so she and Lydia and Aunt Heather said. ;) I hope it turns out, because I really should be sleeping instead of using a rotary cutter! I think I'll head to bed now.

Nighty night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

The outfits posted lately have been so cute. I can't believe what wonderful seamstresses we have on this thread.

I'm sewing some last minute stuff for our trip next week. It's our surprise quick weekend trip. I can't wait! I'm so excited to see the kid's faces when they figure out where we are going.

Love all the pictures. The girls look like they had a blast! That is how I feel at the end of the day...ready to drop on the floor! Oh,and I have that tinkerbell shirt too!

HL has their simplicity patterns on sale. Anyone have a favorite that I should buy? They are only 99cents so I may pick up a few. Plus they have fabric at 30% off! I think I need to tell my dd to get my mother's day gift there!

Corey got chicen pox when we went to Florida when he was 5. He sat right next to a kid in his class that got chicken pox the week before we left! He was good for a week, then he got what I thought was a bug bite while we were at MGM, then he got more, and more and more, and more, until there was no denying, it was CHICKEN POX!!

7b7507a1.jpg

I'm thinking he had 100, and most of them were on his face!! I got the girls the chicken pox vaccine.

Poor baby!!! chicken pox are wretched! I got them from my little sister who got them from the neighbor boy who KISSED her on the cheek! She was five! She chased me around for a week trying to give them to me. I firmly refused to catch them...until I did. I was SO sick. I had pox on top of pox EVERYWHERE! It as awful...and the dead of summer in Texas so I was a miserable little girl!

corey still looks DARLING!!! Pox and all!!:goodvibes

:lmao: wow...see I don't even understand what language y'all are speaking...it's the "Knowing how to sew" language!

Hi Steph, Thanks for the info....I need just a little more help - Elizabeth is tall too, but not skinny - do you think I should get her a M or a L - I do want the top to overlap the bottoms a bit - thoughts???? Thanks soooo much!!!!

Sorry, I went to bed, lol. I just measured: from the back of the neck to the bottom it's 17 inches. I measured across from the bottom of each armpit and it's 13 and a half. I hope this helps you decide if it's long enough: for Megan it is long enough to reach the top of the bottoms and she is tall for her age.

I think my DD that I'm taking to WDW might have chicken pox.:scared1: She has been vacincated but didn't have the booster before kindergaren yet. She's only got 10 little spots right now. I noticed the first little spot yesterday-thought it was a bug bite. She should be OK to fly by next Sunday.

Maybe that's all she'll get since she was vaccinated (crossing fingers).

:scared1: I'm SHOCKED!!! Truly SHOCKED!!! :scared1:

You don't know what you're missing! :snooty:

Cute! I love that fabric for the shorts, it is just adorable!

You make me tired just reading! Now I know what to do with the petti: I think the top looks perfect! :thumbsup2

Love the end of the day pic! They look so happy and proud in their outfits: I want to see more!

I didn't mention it before but that Fancy Nancy outfit is to die for! Megan's jaw just dropped when she saw it!

Much like mine when I saw Teresa's Marie dress. Lydia is so pretty in it!
