Oh no!!!! I had most of it finished already. I actually spent 2 hours doing the three ruffles at the bottom. For some reason it took me awhile to do narrow hems and ruffle (without my ruffler). I think I am moving in slow motion right now...in fact I may not be making any sense...:confused3 Perhaps I should go to bed

Heather, sorry Sawyer isnt feeling well. Gentle hugs for you! At least he got sick far enough out that he should be all better by trip time. :rolleyes1 Brooklyn waited until Sat night, (48 hours ahead of time) to spike 104 temp  :scared1:

I like packing lists too. And crossing things off of them. That way I dont feel like I am forgeting something. Which brings me to another question....typically I iron and fold and put their clothes in a labeled zip lock minus the air. How do you do this with frilly twirl skirts and costumes and all??? How do you pack customs??? :confused3

Elisa - sorry about the Daisy Kingdom gone awry.... :headache: but I hope you all have a terrific time tomorrow!!! :cool1:
For packing the bigger stuff-They do now make bigger ziploc bags. I plan on getting some of them for Jenna's bigger dresses. Although two of them are surprises. I started packing Jenna's stuff using the Handi Sealer from Reynold's. It sucks out all of the air. It will give me plenty of room for all of her stuff.

AFter a fight with my sewing machine and lots of use of my seam ripper I finally finished the dress. DD really wanted to wear it to her friends birthday party today so I did all 9 buttons one hour before the party!
And the back!

The sun was in her eyes so she kept closing them! I love this fabric, just wasn't easy to sew with. The needle kept getting caught in the little flowers. We got lots of great comments at the party!

you are a brave woman for tackling that an hour before a party! It looks fabulous!:worship:

I've never met an internet friend in real life before!! Although, I have met real life friends on the internet (right here on the Dis)!!

That is such a nice thing to say!

After everyone left I was able to finish a Daisy Kingdom outfit with cute searsucker fabric from Walmart....I am making the dress of the same pattern...this was the two piece pattern. The ruffles were time-comsuming cause you had to do a narrow hem on the top and bottom then ruffle and attach and sew again. However the results were nice so I am happy...

I am so excited that I finally get to post something I sewed! :goodvibes I took a class today and we made PJ pants for my 14 year old. I know not rocket science but a first step! The coolest thing was that my hubby wanted to me to go ... and he watched the kiddos. It was my first real day away from kids since early fall it was so COOL! :rotfl:

Hello all...I survived the birthday slumber party last night...actually it worked out quite well. The only tragety of the whole thing was I left the camera on the table when we left to go horseback riding:sad2: Here are some pics...it was Enchanted!

Well, I think Ill get back to sewing tomorrow- perhaps I try tackling the famous Portrait Peasant Dress....but I just love that A-line, its just so easy and practical.

Did anyone else see the My Little Pony post- I had never seen that- The build-a-pony at Once Upon a Toy in DTD. !!!!

Oh, that is so sweet that your hubby is so excited!!!

We love the stuff a pony boxes!!! My Mom gave all the girls $30 Disney gift cards this year for her anniversary. I think they all plan on getting the Ponies!

That sounds like fun. Well after you take a break and regroup try the dress again.

I decided to forget the dress for now, and that Ireland would wear something out of her closet for tomorrow. Well at 9pm. she starts complaining that she doesn't have anything princess-y to wear. She's right. She grew out of most of her girly things. Well she decides she wants to wear the pink petti from the Disney store...I was like...okay...well what are you going to wear on top...she literally has nothing to go with it. So at 9:30 I'm appliquing a halter top for her to wear...It's a simple one with just a crown on the front...I couldn't manage much more. It has a shirred back and it only took me about 45 minutes. Not too bad, but I sure hope it fits her in the morning. Well, I should run to bed. I have to be up in 6 hours. :sad2:

It sounds cute.

I just wanted to share this gorgeous outfit that my darling sister made for Tessa. She made matching ice cream outfits for all of her nieces and daughters. So, she made a total of 5! I did the appliques and she did everything else. The girls are going to wear them when we go to Beaches & Cream for the kitchen sink. I believe bibs will be in order!:rotfl:

LOVE IT! Great job! I wish my sister would learn to sew :rolleyes1 she's a quilter with no sewing machine :sad2: Tessa is in fine modeling form today! Tell her she looks beeeeautiful in her ice cream dress! Luke loves ice cream!

I have not posted pics in a while b/c I didn't have batteris for my camera, but her is what I have been up to:

Very cute! I have used that applique. I may have to get another one now that you enablers have forced me to buy the disney petti.

I've never met an internet friend in real life before!! Although, I have met real life friends on the internet (right here on the Dis)!!

Some of my bestest real life and in-person friends started out as Disfriends! (I'm talkin' bout you Spongie and Uma!!! :grouphug: ) Sappiness aside, when I introduced them to DH (he must not be as :snooty: as Tom--Just kidding Steph!) I joked to him "you can see them too can't you? they are real right?" I cracky myself up.

Will you LOOK at that CAKE! Ooooh I love the frosting! Its been a week and we are still eating Mickey MouseClub House cake, okay, I'M eating MMCH cake.

I wish I could meet other DisBoutiquer's while there!!!!!

I had a relaxing day, went to Barnes and Noble.

DH and DD and I went for a walk this afternoon- I caved and told DH Im ready to have another one. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HIM! He had a grin from ear to ear and is so happy!!!! Man, I wish I could have held out and waited to tell him once I was pg. LOL.

I totally can't keep things like that to myself. He will be even more happy and excited when you do get pregnant! So you will get the great reaction twice, right?

Ireland could be wearing jeans and a PLAIN tshirt with socks tied in her hair and still be the prettiest girl at Disneyworld tomorrow! (I can say that because Alexis will be out on the boat, right?) Still, can't wait to see the halter top. :thumbsup2

Here is the outfit I just made for my other neice, Casey (she's 10)to wear to BBB. She asked for Jasmine. She looks really pretty in blue, so this should work out nice. I may add some trim to this, but I'm waiting to see how much time I have before I start that!

Anyway, I just thought I'd share. It's been a long time since I've posted here (this thread moves at the speed of light and I can't keep up anymore), but I usually try to take a peek at the darling creations everyone has made. Just thought I'd pop in and say "Hi!" :wave2:

I went through a ton of pages last night and saw so many more darling outfits! I started to quote them all, but gave up quickly! I have been busy sewing away since we leave in a little over a week for disneyland! Yeah!

OT - Heather, your swingset review is on the front page of expo this morning!

You'll have to wait for Monday and Tuesday! HAHAHAHA

LOVE the mary poppins! did you make appliques of her or is that the fabric?

That is such a sweet outfit!! Your daughter is a little cutie pie! Tessa was having sun in the eyes issues at our "photo shoot" yesterday, too. It's tough to be a model! :rotfl2:

I am extremely GREEN with envy. such adorable outfits! Tessa is too cute. Talk about Sass and Personality! That girls had got bunches!!!

I can't wait to see the pictures at Beaches and Cream!!:goodvibes

I wish I could be there for the Disboutique meet!! I hope y'all have a wonderful time!!
I wish you could come, too! Come on, drive down for a day trip! :thumbsup2

Yes, Tessa DEFINITELY has sass and personality! That's a nice way to put it...:rotfl2: She really is a sweet, caring little girl, except for when she's not.;)

I am actually the other woman, the tourguide. The funny part is that we also had a pic taken right after RNR and the photographer thought we were a couple and I was afraid he was going to ask us to kiss:laughing: My BIL family has never been before, so my DH took DS1 and DS5 back to sleep while we stayed for Spectro and wishes.
:rotfl2: I've often seen people giving Teresa and I questioning looks when we're out in public.

Heather-I wanted to ask how the situation is with your two dogs? Are they finally getting along? If they are how did you get them to get along? Our dog that we already had is doing ok with the new baby, but I figured I would get some ideas on how to keep them friends in
Lost part of your quote somehow. Ooops!

Our dogs get along really good now. It just took them some time to get used to each other. They never fought or anything, but Pierre was not interested in being friends with Josie when we first got him. I didn't do anything special. But, I noticed that once they got to play outside more in the warm weather, they seemed to like each other better.

Pierre is still not a big fan of Sawyer. He hasn't bit him again, but he still growls every once in a while. I have just taught Sawyer to stay away from him and Pierre gets up and moves when he sees Sawyer coming.

Heather, sorry Sawyer isnt feeling well. Gentle hugs for you! At least he got sick far enough out that he should be all better by trip time. Brooklyn waited until Sat night, (48 hours ahead of time) to spike 104 temp

I'm just glad the kids got sick before we leave. Now maybe they'll be sick-free while we're there. Now, where's some wood to knock on... I'm having some issues with my blood thinner levels (INR) being too low and I am really hoping to get that worked out before we leave! I don't want to have my blood tested while I'm on vacation!! I also don't want to have to worry about having a blood clot on the airplane!!

I am also wondering about packing the customs. My biggest concern is that I don't want them to get terribly wrinkled. It seems like I'd have to spend days ironing them if I put them in a ziploc bag. Does anyone know if that's the case?

Your mailbox is full LOL

Tried to PM you and got a message saying, no room LOL
Mine isn't....:rolleyes1 I don't think my inbox has ever been full. But, you know, whatever...

HOW CUTE!!! I am so proud of you!!!! You really did a terrific job on these! Your daughter is so cute, too. I love her talking on the cell phone while you're taking her pictures. What a teenager!

Tessa is in fine modeling form today! Tell her she looks beeeeautiful in her ice cream dress! Luke loves ice cream!
:lovestruc Yet another reason I love that boy!

Can I ask a favor from you guys??? Too bad, I'm gonna anyways!!!

Corey entered a contest on Instructables, and he needs people to vote for him. Please, pretty pretty please??? Here is the link: http://www.instructables.com/id/Choosing-and-Using-a-PS-Camera/

I think you have to sign in to vote.

Thanks!
It is done! He actually has some good ideas and I like your new toilet handle!

Corey is such a great photographer! I can't believe the amazing photos he takes with his cheap little camera!

Here is the outfit I just made for my other neice, Casey (she's 10)to wear to BBB. She asked for Jasmine. She looks really pretty in blue, so this should work out nice. I may add some trim to this, but I'm waiting to see how much time I have before I start that!

th_27f487c1.jpg
Casey is going to look gorgeous in that!!!! I love it just how it is, even without any trim on it. The fabric is pretty enough to speak for itself. It looks comfy, modest, and beautiful!

I remember you!!! WOW!!! Those are all absolutely fantastic!! I love the fancy nancy and the Wizard of Oz the best, I think. Actually, I can't decide. They're all beautifully done!!

I went through a ton of pages last night and saw so many more darling outfits! I started to quote them all, but gave up quickly! I have been busy sewing away since we leave in a little over a week for disneyland! Yeah!

Too bad you're not going to Disney World in a week! We would love to meet you guys!

Thank you, Jessica!!!! I wouldn't have seen that since I've already uploaded my 20 reviews (27 actually, but they didn't pay me for any of my DVD reviews this month).

CHECK ME OUT EVERYBODY, I'M FAMOUS!!!!!
