rent an ecv from off site! You go in the same lines as everyone and it is a lifesaver!
Wow! You have had some year!Maybe next time.
It has been quite a year. For our July family trip my kids had to wear costumes from prior trips as I just wasn't up for making anything new.The last thing I made was PJ's for my DS for our May trip. I'm hoping to make a few Christmas gifts and thank gifts for my coworkers who drove me to work when I couldn't drive. I just haven't been up for ironing.
My foot has been very swollen the past few days so I'm not yet convinced surgery in November is a good idea. I will keep those late January in mind if I find I need a Disney escape instead of more surgery. I'll just be 6 weeks out tomorrow so I really can't give up hope yet.
Did your niece get the postcard I sent her in May? I can't remember which character I sent. You all must be getting very excited for that trip!!!
I will be praying for complete healing for you. I know what it is like to have to depend on others. I have to do that a lot now!
Have you stayed at POFQ before? I've been twice. It is nice. I like how quiet and compact it is. Lots of pretty fountains and love the whimsical statues at the pool. Also like that the food court isn't as crazy as most resorts.Kalyn did get the postcard. It has a place of honor on her fridge! She was so excited! I made her an autograph book for the characters that we will see during breakfasts and dinners. Now we have added my brother and his future family to the trip. There will be 13 of us. I am not sure how that is going to work....we have 6 rooms at POFQ all together! I'm hoping it won't be too chaotic! I may need the trip in January to recover from that trip!!!![]()
How fun! I'm sure your students loved it too!I've stayed at POFQ once a couple of years ago. It was a solo trip to take pictures for a scrapbook for my class. I took Ann Estelle (a Mary Engelbreit doll featured in her children's books.) I posed her around the resort and took her to the parks and photographed her with characters. Then I wrote a book about her adventures and used to photos to illustrate it. I had made her "customs" to wear each day (Minnie, Tink, Princess, Alice, etc.) It was a great tool to use at the beginning of the school year when so many of my students didn't speak English yet. They all knew the characters and loved looking at it and talking about it.
Just made reservations for 1/29 - 2/5 with DH. We will be staying at Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Would love to meet up!
