I wasn't trying to be neurotic ( not that it takes effort for me ) I just have this fabric I got for a project that didn't work out... But I think that the blue w/ mickey will be fine...if someone (like me) is doing a boys quilt that will be great. I say, send what you want, that's the beauty of a swap..you get to be surprised. After you mentioned blue mickey I just wanted to be sure we weren't sending each other the same fabric.

I'm pretty excited about this too!! The Mail DEADLINE is January 1st, but alot of people are sending it out as soon as they get their addresses from their group.

Is it too late to join in? I'd love to join the classic characters group. If that one's full, what's still available?

There is an updated list on page 7. (the guidelines are on that page too.) I added some new groups today so chances are you'll be able to get the groups that you want. Do you want the 6X6 squares or the Fat Quarter group? Check out the list and let me know! I update as soon as I know someone wants to be added.

If the group you are in is full, and you haven't been sent the addresses, it's because I'm still missing some addresses. I sent out addresses to 5 groups today!! Some people even said they would be sending out their fabric as early as next week!! Whoohoo!! I can't wait to start getting all these packages!!

I've decided that I'm gonna make a rag quilt with my squares. I've been thinking of trying this for a little while now, and rag quilts look pretty simple. I went yesterday and bought a pair of snips (is that what they're called? used to clip the edges). I think this is going to be fun!

How fun does that sound! I'll have to see what exactly a "rag" quilt is?

I've been wanting to do a Disney quilt for a few years for my sister! This project is going to be for my family room though! I'm not parting with these great fabrics to anyone else in my family! Evey time I cuddle under this quilt, I can think about all the sewing sisters & fellow DIS'er friends I'm meeting! It will be very special for sure!

Just looking for clarification here....are we sending out 2 pieces of 6x6 in the same fabric or 2 pieces of 6x6 in a different fabric for each? Or is that up to the members of each group?

I have probably enough for 4 6x6 pieces of Star Wars fabric for anyone in the Disney Boys 2 group. (this would be an extra freeby included in with the Cars/Pixar fabric I've signed up for, for who ever wants it )

Anyone who has extra Minnie dot fabric for Disney General Group C, I'd love to get some of that. Or if any of y'all that are catching this stuff on clearance at Walmart & buying bolts of it...I'm interested. I think that would be great for the border or piping. I'm having a real hard time finding it at any of the stores near me.

I'm very excited about getting my fabrics out & getting some in return! I'm PM my address now! I feel like I've won the lottery finding this swap!!!

I know this is a Disney fabric swap (which my fabrics would conform to this of course) but what about a "other characters/theme park" group - there are great Dora, Spongebob and whale fabrics out there as well... just a suggestion.

If I understand the guidelines correctly I am sending 2 6x6 squares to each person in my group - the squares are two different fabrics correct? (or can they be the same?) In the Fat Quarters Groups I am sending one fat quarter per person correct?

I will let you know what fabric I choose as soon as I can get to the store...

I added you to the groupps you wanted. Yes, 2 fabric squares to each person in your group. We are leaving it up to each group whether or not you want 2 different squares. And yes, 1 FQ to each person in those groups as well.
The Holiday groups, and Girl and Boy Groups (in yardage) are anything goes meaning it doesn't have to be Disney fabric. If there is more intrest, I can add more groups to the 6X6 and FQ groups.

Yes, prewash the fabric for the 6x6 group. For the FQ group I'm not sure...what does everyone else think?

would it be okay for my 6x6 squares to be just a smidge bigger? when i cut them, i always like to leave a lil bit of le-way for things like when you pre-wash them and they still shrink after the 2nd wash ARGHHHH .
Plus i never cut on the line when using a pattern )it's not enough to even worry about . But that is just me. if it is a problem i will cut them exactly 6x6. i am so excited..

I am trying to think of what I have that is different. I have snow white kissing Dopey on the head, white fabric with very pale outlines of Cinderella and Prince and Snow White and Prince, two different Ariel fabrics, dark purple and green Tinkerbell (I made one of Makayla's outfits with it), that pink fabric with the black outline of Mickey, several of the usual princess stuff that everyone else has and has been sewing, red with white dots...pm me and tell me which you prefer.

I think I have my fabric now...

I have some cars for the Boys FQ (it's the one with lightning only on it) some nemo for the girls FQ (it's blue but my DD LOVED it so I thought the others girls might as well) and then for the 6 x 6's I have some Tink, minnie dot and princess (I think) that will make up for the girls. The Boys I have a Pooh Bear print and then General is a blue background with Mickey's on it.

Hope this is ok...
