PRACTICAL TRAVELER
Theme Parks Confront Flu Jitters
By MICHELLE HIGGINS
Published: November 8, 2009

With crowded conditions, theme parks are being viewed as the perfect petri dishes for the H1N1 virus by some worried travelers.

[....]

Disney fans’ discussion boards are buzzing about the fears of transmission and whether some people are putting their fellow vacationers at risk. One visitor recently wrote on DISBoards.com, an online forum for Disney fans, “I just got back last night, and I did notice that there were a few people running around Disney World with what seemed to be more than a little cold.” The discussion came under the heading: “Please do NOT go to Disney World if you (or your children) are sick.”

We started a discussion over here a few days ago.

As I said there, people I believe have become hyperaware of anything they believe to be an indication of sickness.

We also noticed alot of people coughing and hacking. But I do have to add. At Epcot every mask station had hand sanitizer yesterday for the kids when they were done. I have never noticec this before. good move on Disneys part I though it was pretty smart. I ususally use my own but it was nice seeing it there.

Great for the DIS to get some coverage.:goodvibes
