Let me start by telling you that I LOVE my family....but they drive me insane too.

Introdutions:
BJ (myself)- Working mom
Harrison (husband)- Great stay at home dad
Aubrey (daughter)- My oldest at 19. Think of the movie Clueless..
Hunter (daughter)- "middle child" (as she puts it.) 17.Smart but not motivated for anything
Keaton (son)- baby boy. 16 (i know- not a baby anymore) Great grades. In a band going on tour this summer
Hollow (unexpected grandson)- will be 17 months when we go. Spoiled beyond belief..(thats what grandparents do--right?)

Trip November 18- November 24. Thnaksgiving week... Only week we could all go.
Staying off property and driving from Texas.
Kids wanna do Harry Potter. Husband Magic Kingdom and I want Animal Kingdom.

I have been reading on the boards and have taken TONS of tips from here so let me say thanks for that.

My family thinks I have went totally crazy. I have list made and trying--key word- to get them to pin down exactly what they want to do/ ride so we can get some kind of idea. Has not happened so far.

My husband- bless his heart- thinks we can just wing it. Really?? Every other vacation we get where we are going and they are all looking at me like " what now?". But this is going to be different he says. I really dont think he has a clue. Speaking of him, he was reading my list and was like "what's moleskin?" So I explained. He was like "I am not goinna get blisters". Told him to wirte that down on paper so I could show him later. Which he did and I am saving...LOL

This all started with graduation for my 17 year old She doesnt want a car. Going to take one of our old ones. Ok- Great!! Then the kicker..I want to go to Disneyworld. Hmmm. Ok?? Shouldn't be an issue. What was I thinking? Maybe it was the beer I was drinking at the time:rolleyes1. Who knows? But here I am ..

Any help or advice would be great. And by the way, I am on the boards 24/7. Or so my hubby says.

Last night I had two of the three kids in the same location and so I mentioned we need to start getting things together. Looked at me like I had two heads. "why? It is still months away?" Tried to explain about reservations for breakfast and dinner need to be made pretty quickly. "where are we eating?".. my point exactly. I need to discuss this with you. Its not like we eat out alot. Maybe once every few months. With that many people it never fails to see a hundred dollar bll. Sorry... but I can make 5 meals out of that. But I am NOT going to Disneyworld (or on vacation anywhere for that matter) to eat at Chili's. UGH..

I would like to eat at least one character meal. Hubby wants to got to Jimmy Buffet's place. (I caved and told him about it even though I swore I wasn't going to). They have one in New Orleans and he has been wanting to go. I am sure the kids will be like Hard Rock Cafe. I want to eat somewhere that I will remember for the rest of my life. Now keep in mind my hubby (true country boy) "ain't eating it if I can't say it". That's prolly one of the main reasons we haven'y went to New Orleans yet. How can you go there and not eat til your sick? Sorry.. I got off track there. Anyway, any suggestions?

Hi! Your Thanksgiving trip sounds fun! How wonderful for your whole family to be able to enjoy it together :wizard:.

Will it be everyone's first time to the Orlando area/ Walt Disney World?

First time for most. My son went to Florida for a week last summer and hit Universal Studios one day. He said it was PACKED. Plus he doesn't really ride anything so I think he was not too impressed.

Finally got my hubby in spirit.. a little anyways. We are going to get shirts made..i know cheesy but hey! If that is all he wants who is to complain? He "designed" them so we have to wear them at least one day. I can already see the eye roll from the kids now.

We are driving and plan on staying in Pensacola for one nite. (which is about half way) Unless someone has a better suggestion??

Trying to get the in-laws to go too. Yes- i LOVE my in-laws. They are the greatest.

Still trying to get kids on board. It shouldn't be so hard considering its for them. Teenagers:confused3.
