We had bad service on Tuesday at Prime Time over at the Studios. The server was just off, like he was drunk or high the whole time. We are used to shenanigans at PT and this was not it. Then when we were close to finished, I got out my AP so he could ring the bill up with the discount from the get go. We were a party of three, which is covered by one AP, although we are all AP and would have produced documentation if asked. Then he came back with the folder and said he put the discount on but didn’t print the new receipt - could we just do it in our heads? We said no, we would like a receipt please. He acted like this was a huge inconvenience. So he left for a while and came back. Another person in our party was paying and didn’t mention to me until the next day that my dinner was the only one that ended up discounted, not all three as it should have been. I was furious that the server would do that, especially since he could go in after the fact and enter the discount to get more tip from the total paid (he didn’t know we were paying cash until the last moment, so I have to believe that part at least was not deliberate). Until I found out about the discount, I wrote it off to someone having a bad day and let it ride, but if I had known about the discount issue before we left the restaurant that day, I would have been talking to someone about it.
We had another $25 overcharge issue at a different restaurant yesterday, but it was immediately corrected and apologies issued all the way around. That is how I expect Disney to operate, and that night at PT wasn’t it. We had great servers for the most part, but I think more than a few of their servers could use some retraining.
