DISAPPOINTING Ding's birthday celebration

For my family flying from DTW. It was $89 each way. Spirit was $84 going down but $114 coming back. I figured about around the high $80s was going to be the best rate this year because of gas prices so I went on and booked. Plus, I like AirTran!

We booked SWA for Easter week MDW to MCO and back minutes after the fares were released and were lucky enough to snag $ 79.00 outbound and $ 89.00 back. I think that these are great for that week but was still watching and hoping for a little les from the "birthday celebration of Ding" I thought that I would be able to use some of the credit toward a fall trip that we are planning.
Oh well I guess that we should not expect to much during spring break time.

I was surprised (and disappointed) that there weren't better DINGS. I was hoping to have a great excuse to sneak in one more trip before our AP's expire. I've seen much better regular DINGS than I saw yesterday.

Thanks, I will look into Airtran. (They fly out of Bishop in flint too right, that would be as close as DTW for us, but smaller and less work.)

DH said Spirit is down some days, and found it cheaper on Orbiz, maybe it will go down to 84 for our times. We have $50 off 3 tickets so we might do that (com for a 5 hour delay on our last trip. Still a bit gun shy about flying them again though.)

I, too, was so disappointed in those crappy DINGs!!! I was hoping for more of the good stuff they had on Christmas. Oh well.
