Gosh, after reading all these posts, I just felt like I had to say something. First of all, I would never berate someone for their feelings about missing a port, everyones idea of what this vacation should be, will be different. Personally, I would never plan a flight when the chances are high that there could be a storm and we would miss it. I would never book a cruise, when the weather is normally erratic. Yes, I'm lucky, we could afford to go on our first cruise during spring break last year, and again in April this year. I realize that for some, the saving for this sort of a vacation, is a more of a hardship than for others. But, personally for me, the vacation itself, is spending time with my husband and daughter, not having to cook, having dinners together, and just hanging out. The ports, yea, they are cool, but that is NOT the vacation for me, its an extra bonus. If I missed a port or two, I would maybe be a bit disappointed, if Disney credited me in some way, okay cool, but I'm not making that big of a fuss about it. I don't need the small stuff to have a good time, thankfully, we can have fun just the three of us together. Hopefully this thread will run out soon, its getting a bit depressing.
