I was very disappointed with the photo pass. You can no longer add characters or borders. I wish I had know before I had put so much on them. I would have taken more regular photos. I hope this helps anyone planning on using it in the future. Without the extras it is not worth the money and our eyes are closed in a lot of them.

They don't? They still provide the paper frames though right?

I too was very very disappointed with photopass. We took lots of pictures with the photopass and not our own camera. I had planned to buy the CD with all our pictures. The program with the charater names and borders was stopped on our last day................... :confused3

On our last night we were at epcot. I stopped at the photo center early to add all the items to the pictures. This is when I was told, that they just canceled the program that morning. (the night before I stopped at MK photo center & viewed all pictures - the CM suggested I wait to add the border to our pictures until our last day) I can't tell you how upset I was. I spoke to 3 different managers. All I got was --- sorry theres nothing I can do - it's off our system.

I still purchased the cd - but this being our first trip I am made we don;t have any pictures with the borders.......................

Did anyone have a reason as to why they stopped the borders? We went to MGM to look at our pictures and we could only see the pictures taken from that park. To see the others, we had to go to one of the other centers. We were disappointed that we only had 53 pictures on our CD. As we were leaving Animal Kingdom, we were looking for a photographer so we could get a group Tree of Life picture and couldn't find one! The park was still open another two hours so we thought for sure we could find someone. I hope they work out the kinks in this system since I think it's a great way to get pictures of your entire family on your vacation.

I was mostly disappointed w/ the quality of our photopass pictures. Out of 30 pictures we only had 3 or 4 good ones. It seemed like the lighting was wrong on most of them, either too dark or too bright, mainly things that can be controlled by the fancy cameras they use. It's sure fun while you're taking them!

I loved the photo pass at my last visit. Got some great pictures of the kids. I am very upset that they aren't doing the borders anymore. That kind of made the whole CD really

THanks for letting us know. I hadn't decided if I would buy the CD for out upcoming trip. without the extras I don't think I will spend $100 on it.

I just went to MGM yesterday for the day with DS 5. I was also disappointed by photopass for a couple of reasons.
1. They weren't out by every character.
2. When they were there, they didn't take pictures of every kid

There is a great meet and greet place at the end of the Disney Animation tour and they did not have one photographer there. I am so grateful that I had stopped at Walmart on my way to the park and bought 4 disposable cameras. I then went to Walgreens this morning to develop the film and the photolab person told me about a coupon in this weeks ad. I'm getting a single set of photos and a CD for $5.99/roll. Its a savings of about $4 I believe.

When I got home, I ended up with only 14 pictures on my photopass card. I will use it to show my friends but after that, I'm not ordering them.

It was probably taking too much time... having people spending 30 mins on let's say 30 pictures trying on different borders & disney pics etc.

They are probably looking at a better way of making this happen. The CM's have their ears full - I"M SURE!!

Let's hope for the best. Maybe we should all write to Disney!

The main reason I put so many photos on the photo pass was because of all the extras I would get to add. When I didn't get to add any I felt it was NOT worth the $100. I could have not used it and used more film from my 35mm or used my digital and had the same pictures for a lot cheaper. Most of the pictures were not professional looking.

The DGF and I did get the Photopass.

I am glad we did but I was disappointed in the high percteange of shots that were out of focus.

We were out of focus but the background element- like Cinderella's Castle or the Tower of Terror were in focus.

I mentioned the displeasure that we were out of focus in so many shots when we were buying it and was told that the photogrpahers needed to make sure they got the background attratction in focus.

I thought we were being shot by professional photographers but I guess they are just cast members who have been given some carmera training.

so can you not get the photos where you are "holding" a character anymore either? They did some great ones with stitch and tink.

They apparently still do those pics. It's the stuff like enhancements and autographs that have been removed.

They stopped doing Stitch. They only do Tink now.

Quick question just for clarification!! Can you still add the borders if you order your pictures over the internet after you get home? We did it over Christmas last year and it was nice to be able to add the name of the park, the year, etc.

The Manager at the Ecpot photo store gave this reason for not doing the borders. He said they received so many complaints (hundreds every day) that the border picture files on the cd bad. and that people were not able to print. He also said they tried to fix the software problem - but it didn't work. So the disney people decided to cancel that option. YOu can still get it at the parks, but you have to buy the pictures there. (i don't know about online purchases).

Prior to our trip I had heard good things about the photopass and cd. As many of you have said, I also feel the pictures weren't the best. And very hard to find someone to take the pictures. But it was all we had with all of us in the photos. We didn't take family pictures with our camera.

We just returned from WDW yesterday and we only saw photopass photographers twice (once at MK and once at AK). Last year we saw them in every park and in several locations within the parks. We had our photos taken several times and I bought several different ones in the different parks. I didn't know about the CD then, and I was looking forward to getting one on this trip....but no such luck.

We were not asked even once to have our picture taken this year. Last year we were asked at least 10-15 times in each park. I also went into the camera center in both Epcot and MK and I didn't notice anyone in there buying photopass pictures. We only saw one other family having their picture taken (at the MK).

When we saw the photopass photographer at AK, she was leaning against the wall (bridge railing as you exit the Oasis and enter Discovery Island). She wasn't asking anyone if they wanted their picture and there really wasn't any way of determining why she was standing there. I mean, it's WDW, EVERYONE has a camera around their neck!

Last year, there had to have been at least 20 photographers on Main Street. This year we only saw the one taking the photo I mentioned above. I was really disappointed. This is the first time in several years that I don't have at least one of those pictures.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

I was a newbie to the photopass...however I was disapointed with how few photographers i found about the park! In the past they hounded you with their cameras. Now that i wanted photos they where no place to be found!

We were at WDW for 8 days in early May. We seldom saw a photopass photographer and we were never asked to have our picture taken. I was looking forward to having a photo pass card, and if even if I didn't get enough pictures for a CD, I would have loved to have a 'professional' photograph of me and DH at WDW. I'm sure we would have at least bought a 5x7 in one or more of the parks. But the opportunity never presented itself. I kept thinking that WDW sure was missing out!
