Disappointed with early November options.

We ran into the same thing with our last trip for those exact same ADRs. B&C popped up a few weeks later at a random time/day...same thing with Sci Fi...and then about 5 months later, I snagged Trattoria breakfast.

This is really frustrating. I have been checking Dining availability at the 180 day mark (since I am off site). October I could have gotten anything I wanted at 180 days. So far November there are slim pickings.

Last nov it was the same thing but I thought free Dining played a role.

I know there are events, but sheesh!

Is early November now the most crowded time?

Or is it just that many more people are hoarding, rather than just a few?

The fact that there is so little availability at 180 days out at 6am..... that is nuts to me.

I honestly think some of the dinner ADRs aren't out yet in MK due to MVMCP. And I think people are "hoarding" due to ADRs being scarce in the MK. I didn't try to book many ADRs but when I did Ohana and Chef Mickey popped up every day of my trip and they are pretty popular. But there's no Crystal Palace or BOG dinners.

Maybe. But take 50s or Hollywood and vine. For Nov 6, 180 days from now, at 6 am there was NO 50s and only a 4:15 for H and V (which had a lot of seating). Both had oodles of availability in Oct.
I thought Oct was supposed to be more crowded than Nov.
I will stalk and do all of the known tips and tricks to try to get the adrs we want, and I know there will be gobs of cancellations the night before.
But it would be nice to have some more choices now, 6 months ahead of time on the day reservations are released to the general public.

Can’t say I regret November though- I love it so much that time of year, it doesn’t matter what adrs we get!

:)

I did my ADRs this morning for our Nov 6-11 trip. I wasn’t able to get everything I wanted. I will set up some Touring Plans alerts for some of the things I didn’t get and hope for some cancellations.

We went to WDW annually for the RunDisney event in early November for many many years, and although I wouldn't say that it is the 'most crowded time' it is very crowded that time of year. I am glad that we no longer do that particular race, I for one won't miss going that week. The weather is usually good though, so that's a plus...

My 180 day window opened up yesterday. I got my dinner ADR for Raglan Road for 11/5 no problem. No luck for the Be Out Guest lunching was hoping for (11/7). Checked today and luckily there was a 12:40 available for BOG on the same date so I snatched it up. Since I’m not really looking for other ADRs I’m pleased. If you’re getting frustrated, just keep checking back and keep in mind that times definitely open up a couple of weeks out. People change their plans.

Today is our 180 +10 & we finished booking our ADRs.

Some of these were made for us in advance by a friend who is going around the same time & had earlier access than we did. This is a close family friend & we are all connected on MDE so she simply assigned the ADRs to us. I wouldn't recommend doing this with someone you don't know.

I also checked all that we had already booked so that I could share some info about availability.

Saturday 11/10
'Ohana 5 PM (made 180 +8 days in advance; nothing available 180 days out)

Sunday 11/11
Sanaa 12 PM - just for bread service & drinks
CRT 5:45 PM (made 180 +9 days in advance; nothing available 180 +1 days out)
Fireworks Dessert Party - Terrace Viewing

We didn't really want to do CRT & the dessert party on the same night, but with four MVMCP that week, we had no choice :( We need the seated viewing for my mom as she's been having knee trouble. It doesn't really matter if nobody wants to eat the desserts.

Monday 11/12
nothing planned yet

Tuesday 11/13
Early Morning Magic - not planning to eat the breakfast
Sci-Fi 12:15 PM (made 180 +8 days in advance; only odd times available 180 +3 days out)
Garden Grill 6 PM

Wednesday 11/14
Chefs de France 12 PM

Thursday 11/15
Afternoon Tea at Grand Floridian 12 PM
BOG 5:45 PM (made 180 +10 days in advance; nothing available 180 +5 days out)

Friday 11/16
Bon Voyage Breakfast 11 AM (made 180 +10 days in advance; still available 180 +6 days out)
Yachtsman Steakhouse 6 PM

Just got through bookings, we made out OK, especially for a party of 7 (that was rough in a few places)

Got:
Coral Reef 11/10, got the time we wanted
Sanaa Dinner 11/10, had to split into 4 and 3 but at the time we wanted (when it just opens for dinner, so hoping we can sit next to each other, fine if not)
Tusker House Lunch 11/11, had to take earlier than I wanted, and I thought this would be fine for lunch. Going to be hunting for something a bit later.
Garden Grill Breakfast11/12, got the time we wanted
Beaches and Cream Snack 11/12, knew we would have to split up anyway so did so and got the time we wanted
Liberty Tree Lunch 11/13, got the time we wanted
Hollywood and Vine Lunch 11/14, got the time we wanted
We wanted Artist Point for date night, but she confirmed it wasn't taking reservations at all so we took Citricos
Skipper Canteen Lunch 11/15, had to take earlier than I wanted, and I thought this would be an easy one. Same thing with hunting for a better time.
Plaza Lunch, 11/16, got the time we wanted
BOG Lunch, 11/17, got the time we wanted

Honestly, since we weren't going for any big headliners this time (CRT, BOG Dinner, etc) I thought things would be a bit more flexible, but now I am very glad we woke up early and did online and did some calling later too. Was quite surprised about Skipper Canteen - we loved it on our last trip but it had tons of availability. Not sure if its now popular or whether our party size is awkward for it or what.

Just booked our ADRs this morning...overall very happy. We got everything we wanted but I need a earlier time at Akershus (could only get an 8:00pm and we have a 2yo)

11/11 Cape May Cafe
11/12 Akershus
11/13 Mama Melrose
11/14 Bon Voyage Breakfast
11/14 Liberty Tree Tavern
11/15 Chef Mickey
11/16 Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare
11/17 Ohana Breakfast

Cant wait until November :cool1:

My booking window opens tomorrow, I'm going to WDW a few days before a Disney cruise. I hope I'm going to be able to get an ADR for California Grill on my birthday!

Just keep trying. We were there last week and while walking around about 2 on Tuesday afternoon decided to see what was available. We got California Grill for 9:30 that night, which was perfect as the fireworks had just started when we got there. I had sort of been checking for a couple of weeks before that, we don't make ADRs in advance, just grab what we can while walking around. Le Cellier was also open that night as well as BOG.

My ADR day was May 6th.

I got:
11/2 - Ohana dinner (originally reserved post 9pm, but later found one at the time we were looking for)
11/3 - Tusker House breakfast, Yak & Yeti early dinner
11/4 - Akershus breakfast, Le Cellier dinner
11/5 - Kona Cafe breakfast, Hollywood and Vine early dinner
11/6 - Crystal Palace breakfast, Cinderella's Royal Table lunch, Fireworks Dessert Party
11/7 - Trail's End breakfast, The Edison lunch, Morimoto Asia dinner
11/8 - Boma breakfast, Sanaa dinner
11/9 - Ohana breakfast, Be Our Guest early dinner
11/10 - The Wave breakfast, Teppan Edo dinner

In general, we got everything that we wanted to start with as soon as our ADRs opened. I feel we got lucky to catch a cancellation at Ohana later in our arrival day at just the right time. The only thing we didn't end up getting was a Fantasmic Dining Package, which still hasn't been released and we're still keeping an eye out for it.

We're going 11/10-11/18, but we eat mostly at signatures and at the resorts so we usually book last minute. I don't miss the days when we had to plan dining 6 months out.

Yesterday was our 180 day mark, and I was very nervous about availability since I always play around with MDE and check what was available on the days before our window opened. We were able to get everything we wanted and at the times we hoped for. I am so relieved to see plenty of times available for everything. Good luck to everyone!

11/10 - Arrival day, no ADRs
11/11 - Boatwrights dinner 5:20pm
11/12 - No ADR's
11/13 - Early Morning Magic
Garden Grill - dinner 5:15pm
11/14 - Crystal Palace 8:05am
CRT - 8:10am - my sister and BIL are taking my niece
Grand Floridian Cafe - 8:15am - for my parents
11/15 - Tusker House 8:25am
MVMCP - no ADR's
11/16 - Hoop Dee Doo Revue - Category 1 at 6:15pm
11/17 - Garden Grill breakfast 8:05am
Via Napoli dinner 6:20pm
11/18 - No ADR's, we are going home

Tuesday 11/13
Early Morning Magic - not planning to eat the breakfast
Sci-Fi 12:15 PM (made 180 +8 days in advance; only odd times available 180 +3 days out)
Garden Grill 6 PM
We have the same plans (besides DHS). We are also booked for EEM this day and Garden Grill for dinner that evening! Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I think something is going on with November reservations. I started planning a trip last week for Oct 28th - Nov 3rd, so I missed the 180 day mark. I haven't had any trouble getting reservations I want until November 1st. For example, here is a search for dinner for a party of 4 in Hollywood Studios on October 31st and November 1st:

October 31st:

November 1st. Not a single reservation available past 5:30 (and the only restaurant that even goes past 4 PM is the Brown Derby)

Similar findings with MK on November 2nd. I understand it is race weekend and what not, but I just don't see how even the very late reservations would already be gone. This would make sense for a party night, but there isn't a party on the 2nd.

Yes I found it weird too. I could get Mama Melrose for any day during my trip but nothing past 5:50 pm. And that's for a party of 2.

At 180+ days I couldn’t get anything for dinner at BOG for 11/2-10, but a bunch of times just opened up that week.
