Disappointed with DCL Reservations

Last week I made a reservation for 5 of us for the ten day Med. Cruise. 7/18 Two cat 11 on deck 7. Everything was great up until today. I received our confirmation letter in the mail today. I noticed that in small print it said that I had to pay the deposit by last Friday well today is Monday so I decided to call DCL. Well, I lost the rooms. I asked to speak witha supervisor He was able to get us deck 7 rooms but the rates had gone up $500.00. Now keep in mind that last week the girl I spoke with who had broken English said that I would get something in the mail that would explain everything about deposits. If I knew this I would of given a credit card at the time of booking to hold the rooms. The supervisor said that he would call me tomorrow. He said that he would see what he could do. I know that I am probably going to eat it. If it was up to me I would cancell but I cant do that to my family. I also told him that I cruised with DCL before and I am a DVC Member. It seems not to matter. To top it off when I called on 4/4 at 7:58 a.m. I was told that I was the first caller. Now I am sick.

Wow, that is a hard blow indeed. They will most definitely know WHO made the reservation with you on the phone...It is too bad you did not understand that there is a deadline, whether they told you or not....

I might be worth it to call Costco Travel (877-849-2730) if you're a Costco member or Cruise.com (800-300-4804). If their pricing is better, you can have them take over the reservation at the lower price.

I've used both with good results. I've been on four Disney cruises and have never booked through DCL.
