Just returned from a great stay at the BWV ist week in December but the Bakery selections and Spoodles Pizza window were very disappointing. One of the ladies working at the bakery there said that they got a new chef and changed the selections:

Bakery:

No more Cinnamon Yummies - those were the best.
No more Bowties - DW loved those

That's just a couple of the items I can remember that were gone.

Spoodles Pizza Window:

No more Meatball Subs
No more Calzones
No more Breadsticks

All they have now is Pizza and salad.

We were there in November and were sorely missing the yummies and the spoodles take-out items too. :sad2:

Bought 2 lrg pies from the Spoddles window 2 yrs ago and it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I'd rather make English Muffin pizzas or eat a frozen pizza. Guess it was teh sauce or blend of cheeses or something.

We'll miss the meatball subs. Over the past couple of years food selections on the Boardwalk have diminished. The hot dog/french fries wagon and the crepe cart are gone. I think there is some sort of coffee cart but I miss those french fries! :teeth:

We got the pizza there in November and thought it was good! Not the most amazing pizza ever, but certainly enjoyable.

We got the pizza there ONCE and thought it tasted like school cafeteria pizza! :crazy2:

The only good pizza we have had at WDW has been at Wolfgang Pucks.

I'd rather make a boboli in our room (typically get a 1BR) and then stroll the BW.

There is a cart across from the candy shop that sells dogs, fries, nachos, chicken fingers, sausages, and other healthy items. It was still there during our last visit. Was there another cart that had those too? I remember there being a crepe cart. But, I don't recall if it was still there. I can confirm the coffee cart is still serving horrible nescafe.

A quick wish: I wish that Spoodles was open for lunch. They could at least post their operating hours on the doors as I see many people trying to enter when they are closed. Too many poor boardwalkers have to endure long lunch lines at ESPN. I hate seeing hungry kids having to wait in that line.

We were there in Oct and missed the meatball hero at Spoodles out door window. It was one of my favorites. Good price and tasted good. My husband liked the hot stand too. Don't know why they do things like that. Sometimes you just don't want a sit down meal. I also thought that the pizza went way up in price. I thought it used to be around $13 or $14 now $17. :earsgirl:

I wonder if these changes have anything to do with the dining plan. Quick question, does the Boardwalk Bakery still have the black & white pretzels? I'll miss the cinnamon yummies but if the pretzels are gone....I'll have to pick up a few snacks on the way to the resort!

DH and I got a crepe at the BW in July 2005. It was hardly ever open over the week we were there and it didn't open until 9pm. There was 1 young women running it all by herself and there were several people in line for one. The batter kept sticking to the iron too. I felt bad for her. I guess Disney did it away with the stand? You know, I have read/heard about the fun and games over at BW, but the only thing we ever saw there was a funny little vaudeville-type act when it gets dark...nothing during the days or not much at night either.

I got a "free" long grey hair in my pastry during a December 2004 visit and haven't been back!!!!
